Probably been clarified earlier but why were GWS and Gold Coast allowed to take more picks than available list spots into this draft and we weren't? Like GWS and GC we also traded for future picks last year...
McCluggage or Ainsworth? is there a chance if the bombers go with McCluggage that the giants still go with the much speculated Taranto?
Love this board for interpreting smiles or lack thereof.

It's an old family favourite. Originally a Terry Pratchett one i believe.Interesting analogy.
...That's a very high standard if you'll only accept an A grade, brownlow medal winning midfielder.
Biggest problem with Cotchin's game is that, aside from one great season, he just isn't dangerous forward. That's unlikely to be an issue for McCluggage. That last line is were I sit at with Hugh. Agree with everything you said here and I'm getting a bit of Aish vibes from him. Not the fact that he refuses to win the hard ball but the body compositions between the two. Someone mentioned Hugh plays like Cotchin and I agree. Cotchin is a gun but the game has changed since his great year of 2012 with bigger midfielders and more emphasis on clean contested possessions. He struggled a lot the past 2 years especially because he is simply too small.
...
again i agree cotchin is a solid player but... point is I just hope ( if we get H mcClug) ..he turns out better than Trent...more like scott pendlbury ( as he's been compared to him few times as well)

Lynch Mob heading for the Punt Road goals?
I was a bit off there- through the last few years he's had 3 seasons at close to a goal a game and 3 where he's gone at about half that. The only foray I ever made into his stuff was the old Discworld DOS game which certainly had that devilish sense of humour for which he was famous. Should probably read some of his stuff, his fans are very passionate.
I dunno. He kicks a fair few goals for a midfielder and is pretty good in a one on one situation up forward. He does kick a lot more behinds than Tigers supporters would find ideal though.

Yeah, but after McGrath wins it,then loses it for using performance enhancing substancesGood call whoever came up with the Cotchin comparison, probably a few clicks quicker too. Hopefully Hugh can become a Brownlow medallist too...![]()

I've read a couple of his, but didn't find them revolutionary. They're good as a follow up from a long, arduous read like Crime and Punishment. They're funny but I prefer a little more investment in the storyline generally...The only foray I ever made into his stuff was the old Discworld DOS game which certainly had that devilish sense of humour for which he was famous. Campbell just on AFL's pre-draft show and just from a casual comment on the Academy it seems like they're committed to to taking Cumming even if he's bid on in the first round.
From what I can tell, McCluggage has unequivocally been seen as a better talent than Ainsworth.
I would say that if McC is still available at 3 and we don't take him, it will be seen as the WTF moment of the draft, league-wide.
