So what was it that Malthouse did that made Gibbs not play & score as well?

Whatever Gibbs role was in 2014 & how he was playing against the Cats when he kicked 4 goals I think in a game against us with 25-30 touches get him back to that!

MM's negative/defensive game plan simply didn't suit a lot of our players skill set. The same group played a lot better under Ratten's game plan. I'm thinking Bolton's style might suit us better. Here's hoping anyway.

Tims probably past his best

His retirement 18odd years ago may have swayed my thinking to not consider him an option

Jobe however is certainly an interesting prospect at his price

Putting my Carlton hat on here. Is else anyone considering Gibbs this year? He averaged 106 from 22 games in 2014 playing that Deledio Mid & HF role winning the Blues B&F. Injury riddled 2015 and mayhem under MM saw him average only 82 in the 1st half of the year before succumbing to injury. Fully fit now, 26 years old and something to prove, could be a bargain priced mid premo priced at only 82ppg for 2016. I'll be interested to see what role Bolton has in mind for him for 2016 during the NAB. Watch this space.

Bontempelli hasn't done anything but the bike ride last week. Had a hip cleanout.

Macrae hasn't missed a session.

I think it will effect Picken the most (back to average in the 80's) and Dahlhaus a little bit.

A lot of people think it will effect Wallis, but they seemed to play well together for Calder.

I don't think Libba can play too many roles so if he's fit he'll play in and under.

Dahlaus can go forward, as can Bonts and Walllis and Picken can go back. I think I'll see how this all pans out. If fit I'm interested in Libba at that price but will probably let the rest of the doggies settle and bring in if needed later down the track.

TBH only Dal as a forward interests me at the moment. Picken is no interest as a mid only and Wallis is way to inconsistent to be looking at at that price especially with Libba back.

I haven't read this whole thread so don't know if he has been mentioned, but is there any love for Brendon Ah Chee? Averaged 105 for his last 4 games when he came back into the team. Priced at 61.9. Not in my team now but will strongly consider if he has a strong pre season.

These guys who go nuts late in the year are a trap.
Hinkley asked hus players to play for their positions on the list and Sam Gray and Ah Chee went nuts. So they have the drive and they have the ability.

The trap is that they weren't regulars throughout the year and were gifted games to prove their spot on the list.
Does 4 good games when the seasons cooked earn you a spot in the 22 the following year?
Pass for me. Both Gray and Ah Chee.

Any love for JPK as a starter this year? Once the Fyfe news came out JPK came straight into my team. 4 years of Premo scoring, durable and Sydney have a pretty nice early run imo.

Also a fan of Parker but that leg has me worried.
