Please take notice Atkins, M.Crouch, Sig and Polky, of what a 20 year old can do in a gym

There is a great line in an Oasis song, "Don't Look Back in Anger".

"Please don't put your life in the hands/ Of a Rock n Roll Band/ who'll throw it all away"

I have always taken this to mean that musicians/actors/sports stars should never be role models in how to live your life

Admire (and emulate) the way they sing/act/kick a ball, but you can't look up to someone on a personal level whom you have never met and don't know beyond the spotlight......

Also it is a big deal if any kid was to do that. It is beyond a simple error of judgement imo. Someone could have easily been injured or killed.
Agree 100% with this statement.

Port Adelaide can now confirm South Australian Police have been advised that player Aidyn Johnson was a passenger in Impey’s vehicle at the time the incident occurred.

As a result of this information, the leadership group, again following consultation with the AFL and the AFLPA, determined to apply the same internal sanction to Johnson.

I agree with the same penalty. I get irked when i see family of dead kids blaming the driver. Ive been in a number of near death experiences as passenger in cars at that age. Everyones in that car by choice and nearly always enjoying what the driver is doing, if not encouraging. Something you spoilt wet behind the ears city kids could never understand.

Port Adelaide chairman David Koch says Jarman Impey did a “stupid thing” and he’s personal circumstances are no excuse for a hit and run incident over the weekend.

Good to see from Koch. Now everyone can stop bringing up his fathers sad, but irrelevant death. And to those that are saying indigenous people grieve differently and are therefore entitled to some sort of leniency, you're a joke. If we want this divisive world we live in to get any better, then start treating everyone equally.

I remember seeing him on the injury list week in week out this year - looks like he's really committed to getting his body right for 2017 :drunk::thumbsu:

Krak gets six weeks for being an innocent bystander and having jaw broken.

Impey gets one week for crashing into a car, then driving off and crashing again down the road (into a team mates car) and then running away from the scene.

Seems legit...

One game? so harsh.

One game for Impey. Absolute joke. Sends no message whatsover. I presume he plays in all the NAB cup games too. Port plays Sydney away, I wonder if they penciled that in already as a loss. Interesting that their R2 game is at home and arguably a 50:50 game against Freo and then R3 against us.

FFS they could have sent a message to all their players, one game is nothing. Hitting him with a 3 game ban would have hit him hard.

#creed :drunk:

Can someone tell me is he being charged for DUI? Is that even on the table?
Surely the AFL would have to ask the Power if they purposely kept/ instructed him from attending the police station till the next day.

This may not be over. Must smell as bad to the cops as to us.

Literally nobody has said this, though. Or at least, not on this forum.

They may grieve differently. I don't really know but it's not that hard to imagine. That may go some way to explain Impey's actions (or maybe not), but nobody has said this means he deserves a lesser penalty.
