So that leaves a huge question, which club is treated badly enough to give up a home game for Port to make all the money?

"Hey Freo! Guess what we've done for you! No Game in Launceston!!!"

"By the way, how many bicycles in Beijing?"

So Port after announcing a multimillion dollar sponsorship deal with a Chinese company has agreed to play an AFL game in China for 4 points next year.

Sounds cool but what is really fishy is Port are refusing to give up a home game to do so. Port stressing they would maintain all the benefits of a home team for the match.

So that leaves a huge question, which club is stupid enough to give up a home game for Port to make all the money?
"Port has stressed it would maintain the rights of a home team without sacrificing one of its 11 home games at Adelaide Oval, meaning the second club would need to sell one of its home games to participate."

That just doesn't compute. It sounds like one of those ridiculously one-sided deals Eddie is always trying to push through, where the other team is supposed to just be grateful that they're allowed in the same comp as the mighty Pies.

Actually, it is probably better trying to get a team to sell a home game, rather than forcing a team like us to go there for nothing as the away team.

Howdy guys!!

Best of luck this weekend.

Just out of interest, which knee rustled more Docker jimmies? Mitchells or NicNats?

Sam Mitchell is a sniper. I have no doubt the act was intentional.
Whereas as much as I hate the NicNat overhype in the media - I don't see him as a malicious player.

I would love for a team with a Chinese player to put their hand up for it and spend the next year building media momentum in China for that player to dominate the game against Port.

Then Port can run out to a packed stadium supporting the other team and 1,000,000 of their opponents recently bought merchandise items.

It won't be a side that packs out their home games regularly, or brings in big numbers to the MCG.
That rules out Fremantle, West Coast, Adelaide, Sydney, Collingwood, Geelong and Hawthorn. Richmond could probably be added to that list, since they were doing reasonable well at the time the negotiations were ongoing - and their fickle fans were still flocking to their games. North Melbourne and Hawthorn have already tied up home games in Tasmania, and the same goes for Melbourne in the Northern Territory. St Kilda already have their New Zealand "home" game, and I can't see them giving up another one.

That leaves Brisbane, Gold Coast, GWS, Carlton, Essendon and the Western Bulldogs. GWS and GCS would surely be unlikely since they'll be too busy building up their own supporter base instead of aiming overseas.

If I were a betting man, I'd be guessing the Bulldogs since they seem like a progressive club. Unfortunately Lin Jong has a Taiwanese background, so they won't be able to use him to promote the game in China.

I wouldn't think it was us, as I wouldn't have thought we could sell a home game either? And if contractually we could, why would we? We sell an 11 game membership for nice coin, if we could get more games in Perth we would so we could hike up the price.

To me it would be a Melbourne based team that has 15 home games and they sell them for peanuts. GWS maybe, but they are trying to build a membership base in Sydney and Canberra, it would be spreading themselves too thin.

I'd have thought they probably think that we all live in the bush and ride kangaroos around everywhere instead of cars.
I wouldn't be surprised if they thought the game to be some sort of polo but with kangaroos and not horses

My money is on it being Melbourne.

Mark Stevens already said 100% it isn't the dogs, he is very well connected to the dogs.

My guess would be Gold Coast. Callum Ah Chee Vs. Brendon Ah Chee both brothers with Chinese heritage would be an easy sell to the Chinese.
