Missed his last 8 kicksLooks like another butcher.
What's with this year's crop? Can't find a decent kick anywhere. Too much iPad time at home perhaps.

You know what a good video edit can do.Missed his last 8 kicks
So if we had pick 3 and Stephenson was available you'd be happy to take him? I really like him because he has that mecurial talent/x factor that we lack, besides Curnow and SPS in the future, however we also need in build a solid midfield brigade of elite talent, which I can't see Stephenson playing that role. He strikes me as more a half forward or wingman who will flash in and out the game. In other words do we go the reliable accumulator midfielder or the highly talented outside jet?
Raynor clearly the number one at this stage. Biggest upside once he builds his endurance. Will be a powerful midfielder in the mould of Dusty. Very determined kid.Really way too early to tell, especially this year. Anyone that has completed a draft, would be constantly amending the rankings over the next 2 months.
The 3 that I believe will continue to improve and press their claims are Cerra, O'Brien, Constable
Sutherland would be up there if he chooses AFL
Others in contentions, would be considered flankers unless they have sustained output in the midfield, such as Rayner & Stephenson
Technically his kicking is fine. Even his decision making was good. He tackles with intent and is lightning quick. Just the sort of player we need.Looks like another butcher.

Yeah looks zippy. Don't mind himTechnically his kicking is fine. Even his decision making was good. He tackles with intent and is lightning quick. Just the sort of player we need.
I'm in agreement with all of this. His kicks were only missing by a metre or 2, so I think this can be rectified, making him a very good player given the other tools he has.Technically his kicking is fine. Agreed; needs a little lower body and core strength to kick through the ball a little better when he's under pressure, but the kicking is fine. Will slot nicely into our defence in time.Technically his kicking is fine. Even his decision making was good. He tackles with intent and is lightning quick. Just the sort of player we need.
Bottom 3we will be bottom 4

I agree Harks. Stephenson would provide that match winning spark, especially with hopper and Kelly in the midfield with Cripps, Cuningham, Fisher and SPS to do the more grinding, inside workAs someone had already put forward; He has quite a bit of Buckley about him, even the low possession rate.
Reckon we'll take him if we liked him through the pre-season. Trained quite a bit with us, so we'll know him well.
If we did manage to acquire Hopper & Kelly, it may be easier to call out Stephensons name on draft night.
I know it doesn't necessarily work that way, but it can be a swaying factor.

I love the way he moves and takes the game on. He seems to be jogging along as he effortlessly weaves past opponents. His foot skills on the run are also elite and he looks to have a decent leap. From my viewing he seems to be the one with the most raw talent in this draft. He might take a bit longer to have an impact at AFL level as he builds size and a tank but long term he could be anything. You're right though- his drive and motivation will be the key. I watched an interview on draft stars and he seemed switched onWe're looking at things from a distance but unless Stephenson is a Cale Morton, the fit seems to be there and he'd be just what we need.
Would we go for a Fogarty, LDU etc with Cripps & Hopper in the team?
We're also likely to have some good inside/outside types with Kelly, Fisher, Cuningham & SPS.
Do we need a KPF at the draft, when we may well have our eye trained elsewhere in 2018 and with Ben coming along also?
Goal-kicking mids/flankers with plenty of x-factor could be rather appealing for SOS.........so........what sort of character is Stephenson?

Rigggggghhhhht. We can leave this to the psychologists...bit out of our depth here to be commenting on personality typesYou should never judge a book by its cover, but just got the feeling he may be someone who gets ahead of himself.

On the weekend the were pumping Stephenson up, saying what great character he had. That was something they weren't doing for Rayner. You should never judge a book by its cover, but just got the feeling he may be someone who gets ahead of himself.

Buckleys biggest issue is decision making. In The highlights Penriths decisions were excellent and creative. Just the sort of player we needAs someone had already put forward; He has quite a bit of Buckley about him, even the low possession rate.
