I know what that is like. I grew 1cm after year 8. Was a tall kid when young, then watched everyone grow past me in high school.

Me too. 181 cm and not a cm taller from 14 onwards.

Apparently dermy thought Lachlan was one of the best kids he has ever seen a few years ago but reported on SEN today that Harris hasn't grown since he was 14 and is only likely to be a rookie chance now. I wonder if he is a similar height to Caleb Daniel
Taller than Caleb Daniel by a whopping 3cm. Lachlan Harris 170cm. Caleb Daniel 167 cm.

Daniel has shown that skills, speed and lightning quick hands are more important than height. Lachie could be worth a look.

I was 178cm as a 12 year old, measured at an athletics testing day. 179cm when measured recently (some 30+ years latter - that's right over 50's club, I'll be there soon enough) for a medical check up.

When you're in the over 50's club you could be back to 178cm.Something to look forward to.

Bloody showoffs. This is a tough thread for those of us who were always short and never exceeded the lofty extremes of 5'9.

I think all of my hard training as a young fella stunted my growth.
I was 4'8" at 12. Grew to 5'2" by 18.
Then when i gave up my sport and stopped training i grew another 6" in 6mths. To finish up at 5'8".

Have been 188cm since I first go my drivers license, unfortunately I have been shrinking:(, now 185cm. My first recollection of weights and measures was lining up at Newmarket Primary School and getting weighed to find out which Rugby Leauge team I would be playing for, I made it into the 7 stone 7 weight division.

I'm the opposite of most here seemingly. I was probably in the 5 shortest kids in my entire year level up to grade 12. Then after I graduated I rocketed to 6 foot+.

Always amusing when I run into someone I went to school with.

Hi guys. I come in peace. Curious about your draft this year, you nailed it last year, one more and you're ready to run up the table.

I get the feeling you'd love live trading to be coming in this year. I'm not seeing a definite no.1 pick and the names being mentioned don't necessarily suit Brisbane the best. Do you think the club might look to trade down the no.1 pick? I'm not seeing too many suitors but obviously St Kilda sit pretty this year. Out of curiosity would you look at a first this year a future first? I'm not suggesting Sydney, we don't have the currency or the desperation but someone might ie. North Melbourne. And next burning question, will Rocky go?

On our 12th birthdays I was 12cms taller than my brother.... on our 16th birthdays he was 8cms taller than me. I was 181cm at 12 though... finished at 188

I'm confident we will not have pick 1, IMO we beat the Suns and North in the run home and end up with pick 2 and maybe pick 3. I would rather attempt to bundle our Port pick (currently pick 14) and our current pick 18 to get further up the draft board to try and get in at least 2 picks before Conner Ballenden is bid on, I can see him being bid on earlier than a lot on our board are expecting.

On Rocky, I was very confident he would stay but I am becoming less so the more the season rolls on with nothing announced.

Pretty good option actually except that if you end up with pick 2 or 3 your 18 will also be 19 or 20. The balancing will come from Ports pick, I think they'll drop a few spots. You may have 12 and 20 to deal? You'd think that'd get you into the top 10. Ballenden is a 12-20 pick for me, you might be clear without the deal but hopping up the draft board would take the outlier out of the equation

I was 5'3 at the start of year 11 and 6'2" at the end. I have 3 massive marks across my back that look like whip marks from how quickly I grew.

Hoping you are right on Port, my dream first week of finals match up would be you guys v Port in an elimination final, the Swans IMO would destroy the Power and we end up with pick 11 or 12.:D

I'd be very happy to help deliver you that pick! Don't want to cop Essendon of the Bulldogs in an elimination... we all know the umps will kill us if we play them

Looks like we'll have either pick 1 or pick 3 depending on the North game in round 23. Get the feeling it won't make much of a difference with no standout number 1 pick. I still would like LDU with our first.

Top 5-15 could be anyone's guess this draft...and I reckon there will be gems down the track at later picks rather than earlier go en how open this draft is. Happy to trade 2 for St.K's 6 & 10 (current ladder positions). That will get us the likes of Coffield, Constable, Stephenson etc. Ports pick, if not on Ballenden, may get us an O'Brien or Clarke. 20 for Cameron.

And as always every trade period, players will leave at seasons end and I'm sure will have more picks our way, to cover Ballenden hopefully before going into deficit for next year.
