Email says I've been allocated the following ticket: SQ15-2/W/17. Is that a seat number and if so where the hell is it?

Q15
Row W
Seat 17

P1 got Q54 row K, stoked is an understatement!
I really like the front rows of Level 4, swamped by the sound and surrounding Tigers fans (based on the posts in the Finals Hub it looks like there's a few who scored in these Q bays!), ans a great view up & down the ground.
Got Q50 Row CC, right at the back for the QF and it was excellent, so if you've scored a top deck seat and never been up there before, I reckon you've got nothing to worry about.
GOIN' TO THE GRANNY!!!!

I'm feeling quite emotional today.

My first Richmond game was in 1995 vs Footscray at the G during a rare trip to Melbourne. I sat with my parents, uncle and brother in the wooden bench seats at the top of the old Ponsford stand. With Richo out for the year due to a torn ACL, Stuart Edwards kicked 3.6 to steer us to a 5 goal win.

I started coming to a couple of games a year with family friends in 1997 and we always sat in the top of the GSS, behind the goals. I'd spend the 2-3 hour drive up dreaming about sitting at the front, going bananas at every Richo screamer and banging the rail for every goal.

I loved that spot and the memories from those occasional trips to the footy so much that when I moved here in 2002, it's where I'd go sit almost every week. I watched a lot of losses and not many wins from up there, with my favourite memory being sitting at the front the day Richo kicked 10 against the Dogs in 2004 (before we lost the last 14 and won the spoon).

After they finished the Olympic stand, I moved my regular position around there for the better view and greater comfort for a few years before upgrading to a reserved seat on L2 after Hardwick took over. I'd always look up at the front of the GSS level 4 with fond memories though.

Today I got my GF ticket confirmation e-mail.

Q2 Row A - GSS, top deck, front row, behind the goals, Punt Rd end.

The memories all came flooding back and I've been holding in tears all day.

Can't ****ing wait.

Great stuff Maroo.

Mines a similair story, used to make the 3 hour drive down the Hume to watch Tigers games about once a month with Dad throughout the 2000's before I moved to Melbourne. Wins were few & far between but I still loved it, one particularly strong memory is of the build up to the 2009 season. After a promising 2008 we added Ben Cousins and were finally set to make the 8. I remember watching on in horror up the top of the Southern Stand as Cuz ripped his hammy off the bone and we were thumped by 83 points.

I remember having my heart ripped out against Carlton in 13', I remember the never ending car trip back from Adelaide in 14', I remember holding back tears on the train home against North in 15' and I remember standing in near freezing temperatures as they made our players look like training cones in Hobart last year.

I'll be down the Punt Road End on Saturday and whether we win or lose I'll head to round one against Carlton next year knowing that the club has turned the corner.

Usually goes A-Z then AA BB etc

I'm a gold member and I was lucky enough to get a seat in the top deck of the Southern Stand, Q14 which is on the flank. Can't believe my luck. I was there in 1980 at age 16 standing on VB cans in the Olympic Stand to see over the crowd. It's been hard financially but my wife has supported my love for the team and we've made sacrifices to allow me to go. Almost half a lifetime since we made it this far.

Not standing, it's Category 2 so it's ground level undercover. During the home and away season, the undercover seats are generally favoured.

You will be 34 rows back on the ground level, seat 16.

(Edit)to add to that - Category 2 basically guaranteed you a decent seat. The only downside is you will have cat 3's and 4's Sitting in the rows directly front of you.

Try not to think of us as any less on the day, we were just the lucky ones who benefited from the category 4 "Piñata method" of seat allocation.
