Mullett (two T's) would be a perfect addition to the side. Wouldn't be out of place in the senior side and has scope to improve the team, much like ASOS.

Cam O'Shea will likely get a rookie spot too, good reward and endorsement for the northern blues.

Boekhorst into Mullett
White > O’Shea (Shaw into the NB’s)
Smedts > ??? T.Lamb or another midfielder

4x draftees
2x DFAs = Mullett and Crameri (just an inkling, not sure how I feel about it)
Rookie upgrade to ASOS or JGM
Rookie O'Shea, Sumner
Cat. B rookie spot for the Irish lad we were into a while back

That's 11 spots, so a few won't be happening. But I remember arguing for taking Lachie Hansen over Gibbs when I joined BF, which shows what I know.

I'll give you Sydney and Geelong but Collingwood are very overrated and can GAGF..

In 2018:

Murphy < Pendlebury
Docherty
> Sidebottom
Cripps = Treloar
Kennedy < Adams
Charlie
> Wells
SPS > DeGoey
Think they'll get there for sure, but no way can you say Doc, Charlie and SPS are better than those guys...yet. Hell, neither Doc or Charlie have played a full game in the middle yet.

Not sure about this one, surely a one year contract extension to see if he could build on the end to his year which was above reasonable.

If he didn’t continue the improvement then that’s one list spot more to fill in a deep draft.

The problem with the better DFAs is that they will whore themselves to the best offer and the best offer will be more than one year, none of them are that much better than Boekhurst to take the risk.

One year until the draft of all drafts...apparently
Look even though I shit-canned him I actually wonder why Carlton have not kept him for depth as I am sure there will be no player who is better than him at pick 113 or whatever our pick is........think Bolts might have wanted him out because he wants "hungry types" that win their own ball and I guess that is the reason he had to go...........not his fault, he is an outside player that needs the ball fed to him......but pacey guys do not grow on trees. imo we should have kept him for 1 more year like you said rather than take recycled players from other clubs. Never really had a consistent go from the M.C. either and was always in the best in the N.B.........still think he had more going for him than Graham skill wise............hope we get some running players in this draft, because we aint fast out of the middle exactly!!! 2018 draft is supposed to be the best since "the draft" of 2001 apparently.........

What a clean out...heaps gone and we needed change because our list was still just too dismal.
Boekhorst is a gun..speed absolute, hand ball skills and kick[we have trained him well at carlton ]....he will be a gun over in WA in WAFL

Is there a specific thread available for the Boek- "I told u he was crap/soft & destined to do nothing at cfc"?
I'm keen to remind everyone who kept saying he had pace and played a whole 3 games where he wasn't in the bottom 3 players on the ground.
That's said, I was a fan/defender of Buckley.
Loving the ruthless nature of our list management

Neither Daisy nor Boek had long-term futures with the club.

Difference is Daisy is a premiership player, knows how to win and is a good professional role model.
Absolute rubbish boek is only 24 Daisy 30 and all busted up, Daisy having played in a premiership 7 years ago is irrelevant to us, now he is merely a shadow of what he was.
You have been fed the "role model, professional" garbage only due to the fact Malthouse lumped us with this dud for 4 years on Dangerfield money and we were stuck with him!
We are only giving Daisy another year because even he realised what a SHOCKING deal it was for the Carlton football club, he gets 1 year extra because he has a conscious nothing more.
Nothing more than 4 years of a waste of space.
Daisy-role model, professional = turd polishing.

With 10 or so spots to fill on the list with 5 from the draft could sos do a money ball and bring in a few more delisted players from other clubs still think miles would be handy to have while our young midfielders develop

Well surely we wouldn't have cut the 3 guys today if we hadn't already had formal agreements with several DFA's that they would join us right?
I don't think we have enough draft picks to fill the list spots.

Club must already have some agreements in place. I reckon Mullett & Shaw given the rumours. Maybe also Miles.

I really don't get the comments on Boekhurst not getting another year.

He did nothing in three years on the list. He is also 25 this year and has been giving output id expect from a first year or second year player at best. Even watching him at VFL level he just never worked hard enough.

The reality is would anyone be happy seeing him get a game ahead of SPS, Fisher, Cunningham, Willo, Polson, Kennedy and our potential two new mids being picks 3 and 10?

Boekhurst showed all he had and was found wanting. No point giving him another year to show more of the same.

There is hope, one of the most refreshing posts in a while, you clearly have common sense - you are most certainly from the outside world like myself and my fellow Carlton supporter friends.

He was one of our best v hawthorn and Sydney in the last 2 games of the season.

Who's to say given more time he could have continued that and had a Jones like turnaround.

Has way more AFL weapons than Graham.

I'm convinced it was attitude and Bolts not liking the cut of his jib.

I put 'in 2018' because I reckon that next year they will out perform their Collingwood counterparts

Spotted SOS this morning, doing some light pruning in his garden....

I feel like Monday night SOS complained that Joe's lasagna was nothing compared to his mother's, threw him to the dog house and White, Smedts and Boekhorst paid the price in the morning.
