Soapy V and HARKER 15 this year is possible but most unlikely.

Smedts and Palmer as I understand it are contracted for 2018.

I think the certainties from the Senior list are Gorringe, Jaksch, Buckley, Armfield (retired) and White (retired).

I think the next group from the Senior list are Sumner, Boekhorst, Graham and Rowe. So perhaps delist if we can replace or 1 year contract for 2018.

I think we will delist Korcheck, Gallucci and JGM from the Rookie list.

Boekhorst and Graham have no trade currency.

1 replacement is Hickmott as a father son. Penrith has good attack on the ball but from all reports poor disposal. With the pick 3, hopefully we go for a midfielder (Cerra, Coffield)

Can't see us taking more than 5 in the ND.

So if there is a DFA that offers as much to us as Wrighty we should go for it.

And have to temper the above for this year with losing Gibbs and / or Casboult.

We can complete the 15 or so after Season 2018, where Palmer, Smedts and perhaps Kerridge might also be in the mix, and Simpson might retire.

Just pointing out that player retention is an issue. Being screwed over by the AFL in terms of compo picks hasn't helped us either.
No harm in asking for a PP, especially if we do finish bottom which is still a possibility. It will at least stop Brisbane getting one.

The AFL should just consider a PP as delayed FA compensation for Waite.

You need to check the staff list at SOS's car wash (then talk to MrsCoach16's fat hairy friend).

That will work out how many picks after 60 we take......

Just for the exercise and you're right. He's highly unlikely to be ousted when he has a broader roll to fill for the club.

I also think you may be padding out some of those picks. Unlikely SOS will trade out a high second rounder for a lower second rounder and a low third.

I've set up the template and we can all have a shot at it.
I think Korchek has another year and you can replace him with Sheehan if you want, but regardless, here are 15 players.

EDIT 1: So, I have a start point and have already included 2 DFA's which we may attain one. Two is unlikely and a third even less likely.
As yet, we haven't used any picks/multiple picks for players we want to reel in.

I personally don't think Graham and White will be delisted. You can just create a template as though there is a consensus. I don't get the rush to get rid of Simon White. He is alright as a depth player

Don't disagree but as I have said I think there are a number of players on our list that will be cleared over the next 2 seasons. How many and when will depend a lot on trades, FA's, draft picks etc. Too many variables to actually know. I have no doubt a number of players will not be contracted until after the trade period and then given 1 year deals.

The original question was can we get rid of 15 players at once and replace them. Of course we can. Not easy, but we can. My belief is we will replace around 18- 20 players over the next two seasons. By then we will have a much better list with genuine young talent and some elite players. That is when we will start to climb back up the ladder

I don't expect any (maybe 1 or 2 stay) of Buckley Thomas White Rowe Korcheck Gallucci Palmer Armfield Smedts Boekhurst Gorringe Simpson Lamb Jaksch Sumner Graham Casboult Lamb Kerridge Sheehan to be on our list in 2019.

Like that is effectively pick 17 for Whitfield. Jones for Hopper and pick 20-22 for Smith. They could get high first round picks for them all from other clubs, or most likely they will sign up at least 2. You are basically suggesting that GWS will lose Kelly, Hopper, Smith and Whitfield.. insane

Half forward/mid is his go. Don't like him playing in deep in defence as he did in the last game he played in the seniors.

Skills look reasonable but to me he just lacks white line fever. After his first few games he struggled to find the footy.
