Possibly you will but a definite NO to Waite. Don't want him anywhere near our kids.

He is finished!

Can you elaborate on the "don't want him anywhere near the kids' comment?

As stated to another poster Waite has 22 goals this year from 10 games and averages 4.9 marks per game. Those are hardly stats of someone who is finished.

It would be only if Cas left and only to help H and Charlie if SOS thought necessary. Better output than Cas

Can't agree with this. Murphy's career is littered with collision injuries. Brave as they come.

I actually concur with both of you. Personally, I believe Marc has reached a point where its almost like he feels that the next bump he takes will be his last. That his body just can't take anymore. I can't point to any YouTube video or anything but he has avoided some pretty standard bumps this year.

Would rather plonk Rowe down there if Cas leaves. Waite shat on a club that put up with plenty from him.

The Carlton Football Club, for the first time, is building the club and its team based around positive team culture. Everything we do is about team, moving forward, selflessness and unity.

Jarrad might be able to give you a couple of goals a game and play some really solid football but its the negative impact that he has had on the culture in the past that I wouldn't welcome back.

Yesterday was yesterday.
Like I said, many don't like discussing their captain, but let's say that Marc won't be remembered as the most inspiring captain we've had.

I think the negativity surrounding Waites attitude is laughable. Compared to Fev give me a spell. As far as i remember Waites only knock was getting injured and suspended more than most.

Tough gig, Harks. Was awarded the captaincy for the wrong reasons initially. Has had to be the face of the club through some pretty dark days. The sad fact that there was only one viable alternative as captain says a lot about how ****ed as a club we were a few years ago.

How did he shit on the club? Was it because he didn't like Malthouse and the direction of the club? Was it because we wouldn't offer him more than a 1 year deal? Did Eddie also shit on on the club?

When has Rowe ever averaged 2.2 goals a game?

I'm not commenting on his captaincy he was the best man at the time. We weren't flush with options.
To compare his efforts with Boekhorst is not something I can see.

Had great contracts and hardly got on the park. Sometimes not his fault.
When asked to take a little hair cut to help the team out as he had been well re-numerated for most of his career, cut and run.
Went to great lengths to point out Norths professionalism compared to what he was used to.
Eddie was shafted. Carlton tried to low ball him. Would have stayed for 100k a year less than what the Crows are paying him.
Rowe doesn't have Waite's talent but Curnow and McKay will have him covered in no time. Rowe can be a presence that can take some heat for them.

Hang on a minute. I'm not talking about the overall output as there's no comparison, but let's just say I'm not the only one who has noticed Murphy doing as much as he can to avoid a hit, preferring to give the 'hot potato' off to someone else.

Maclure, of the Mark variety, has come out this week, saying that it's the right time for Marc to hand over the captaincy and I agree with him.
No-one really wants to voice anything against the captain, as it's a symbolic position and to knock the captain seems to be tantamount to knocking the club..........it shouldn't really be, but it sort of is.

Back to Boekhorst; We all know his deficiencies as they have regularly been on display and maybe he has got me bluffed but his efforts in recent weeks have been more than just a step-up in effort. Watch last weeks game again focusing on Boekhorst and you'll know what I mean........but yes, there's that kick along with another soft effort.
When does his contract expire? That is the trap with players like Boekhurst. I admit his efforts have been much better, but that could be out of necessity. Next year he goes backwards and plays 2's. The last game against a premiership contender could make or break a few players.

Goldstein?? Why not bring back Ackland and French instead you get 2 plodders instead of one and could pay them both rookie wages.
You seriously comparing Goldstein with Ackland and French. He single handedly took Norf to a Prelim Final. We need quality back up for Kreuzer in case he does get injured again. Rowe is only a temporary fix and Phillips is about as useful as an ashtray on a motorcyle. With exception of Kreuzer (who picked himself) our recruiting ruckmen has been abysmal.

Would probably win us a game annually

Not sure what else we could expect from the coach.

The coach doesn't have to mention the captain at all when not asked a question about him. He chose to. He wasn't asked about Murphy at all. I take him at his word.
