Just received my 2017 member pack. The usual stuff in there etc.

Anyone else got theirs?

Have prices been unreasonably increased this year? $825 for an adult plus any upgrades which they tack on...it's actually getting beyond a joke.

These add-ons are ridiculous as well. Charging money for the members hat and scarf...Victorian clubs get it as part of their membership. How about they cut all the little gimmicky crap out and just decrease the members fees. Other add-on items are pets, toddlers and the Sirens. It just seems like they've gone over the top. To the extent that people will soon be priced out of it all together.

It may sound like a giant whinge thread, but i think its beyond a joke now. $55 for a grand final upgrade after finishing 3rd last? SMH.

I haven't got my membership pack yet, but I've received six welcoming emails in my inbox.

When the pack does arrive, I will forgive them all the crap as long as there's a tin in there that I can keep my weed in.

I thought you burned your membership?

Call me soft, but I couldn't bring myself to burn it, so I gave it a hell of a workover with the hairdryer on full heat.

Not all Victorian clubs get hat & scarf included in their membership. Our home memberships do work out to be a lot of $$ per game though.
My GF upgrade is up to 1/4 of my membership now!!!

Don't forget your Freo Women's team memberships too! $50 to be an inaugural member. I don't know if you actually GET anything for it, but I just wanted to support them. It's not an option on the website yet for some members, so if you can't find it, just give the club a call.

You must have a flash seat, mine is $625 per year.
That's for 11 home games isn't it ?

Not sure you can call any seats at subi flash... yep that's 11 games. I get that seat prices go up and down depending on where you are in the ground, I just don't understand why, as a west Australian club, fees are perhaps as much as 200-300 more than vic members. Logically thinking memberships are going to increase again for the new stadium, why wouldn't the walk up tickets be utilised every week if you're on the ball with their release- supposed to be 10,000 every game.

Allikat for your $50 women's support you get a certificate and a pin... I'd be more interested in where that money is going- hopefully to support the girls etc and not just going into the coffers to pay for more admin expenditure.

My seat's is pretty good,on the wing directly behind our dug out and I usually take the 5 game country membership since it includes our home derby. It works out just shy of $80/game; when I go up for other games I buy a ticket for about half that but normally nowhere near as good a seat.
Rosich did say the other day there would be cheaper seating options when they move to the new stadium.
I guess we'll get offered a range of options with the change?

I'm pretty happy with that!

Everyone get on it.

Moving to SA next year and just saw the interstate option - does anyone know why a membership only gives access to one of the games? What are you supposed to do about the other one?

When I was last in Tassie, that's what counted as central heating...I see things haven't changed.
You promised me during the season that you were going to tear up your membership then you said you weren't strong enough and as your a weedy ha ha little old guy I could understand that then you said you were going to use scissors. What happened ?

I'm moving back to Perth next year and found myself two good seats near the back of block 100. I didn't even bat an eyelid at the price ($65 per game). Maybe I have a different perspective after seeing what it costs to get a good seat to sports in America.

Sport in Australia is actually a bit of an anomaly. Things are generally very expensive in Australia compared to most of the world ... housing, goods, services, food, beer, etc. ... so be thankful that attending sport isn't in that bracket.

I don't think the GF upgrade is too expensive either. It just seems that way because it was so cheap when it was first introduced. I'm still on the waiting list after giving it up when I moved away. So they are obviously still filling their quota and the price is justified.

That's a weird one. Maybe call the club up & ask about it? Or get the VIC membership & fly over for the games here!
