Being a biased kangaroos supporter i would suggest you guys take this with a grain of salt - this being said, with our massive axe swing this year generates massive opportunities for our young kids to step up. I am a big fan of Mason Wood tearing this season apart, with Dal, Wells, Boomer etc etc getting the lemon sars there is numerous positions to fill. Been tearing the pre season training to shreds and running like a man possessed. Good FWD POD

Only player I will consider at norf would be Goldstein. Rest are very mediocre.

I agree strongly with this, so tempted.

Beams is cheaper and will average the same. Heppell has missed probably 10 games since he debut. With that being said, I will take Heppells reliability over Beams, even though they will score the same, Beams may score more if anything.

I'd trust Hep to play all 22, means 0 trades, which means a keeper...ala Cripss at M8 last year.

If the good rookies are cheap this year, he's a lock for me over Beams.

Watson is too risky for mine both injury and also position wise (there's already a fair bit of talk of him playing more forward minutes). Not sure what that looks like exactly at this stage but I just think there's one too many question marks over him.

Heppell I'm quite bullish about I reckon he could average 110. He's always been an absolute ball magnet and will win plenty of inside ball next year. Plus he's very reliable at getting out there on park.

My other prems are: Dangerfield, Pendlebury (first picked), Treloar (I've bought into the hype - I'm feeling new superpremium) and Fyfe (at that price if he's fit you have to pick him). I regret not having more money for Josh Kennedy though and Ablett is still being considered.

I'm also weighing up some mid priced players in Swallow (should be a popular choice) and Sheed (more of a break out pick).

Will play all game but too much uncertainty how Ess will go for me. The blending of last years and the 12 will be difficult and a year out of football is never easy to cope with.

For 301k Tox?
He hasn't done anything to suggest that he is going to be a quality SC scorer, which he would need to be at that starting price.
Is he even a lock for best 22?
Blokes who were not regulars last year who have real claims on being regulars and competing with Hrovat for a spot this year include:
Williams, Anderson (10 Games), Higgins (9), Jacobs (7), Dumont (12), Wright (8), Garner (3), Turner (2), Wood (8). That's not including their draftees over the past couple of years. Is Hrovat categorically ahead of any one of these guys?
It's a NO from me.

My first draft is looking like this

Pendels, Ablett, Hanners, Sloane, Martin, Fyfe, Swallow, Powell-Pepper

I reckon ablett is priced bloody well
That's a BIG spend.
If I were going to roll that heavy in the mids I'd be taking at least one of Heppell, Murphy or Beams. Probably two.
And spending that much but still not having Danger?

Danger is too pricey imo.

Plus carrying ablett & Swallow poses enough of an injury risk. Ading Murphy or Beams to that list is really rolling the dice imo

Hrovat can score, just depends if he gets to play midfield or not. Would dominate the midfield in the VFL then get stuck in the froward pocket in the AFL team while at the dogs.

I think North has a shithouse midfield so he should get plenty of midfield minutes. Swallow is cooked, I think Ziebell is better as a 50/50 forward/mid, Cunnington is a gun but is slow AF, Wells and Harvey are gone. Can't think of anyone who is gonna take midfield minutes besides Clarke and Jacobs.

It's gonna cost a trade no matter who you trade in. Danger, Coniglio, Gray, Selwood, Priddis. All premos are gonna cost a trade to get in.

Good luck with it man.
Interested to see if you are still rolling that way come rd1
By the time r1 comes around I probably will be lucky to have 1 or 2 of them in my team lol

The only one I am super keen on keeping is Swallow, so long as he stays fit
