I thought they were giving GWS the Albury zone but only allowing top 4 teams 1 pick inside the top 20 and free for all after, under proposed changes?
Maybe I read it wrong..
Can see some finals tanking (i mean list management) if this is brought in

Me personally No, But word from others he is doing well considering, Some believe he inherited a mine field.
Don't know what his KPI's are but he is ticking a couple of them ie profit, attendance, Women teams, Good Friday football, Next big tick will come to the end of the year with Night Grand final and the ratings win, One thing is he could do with a better media manager.
But he has failed in several other areas, that did get a lot of media attention,

Hate him or disagree with him you cannot say that he not very bright far from it. Check out his history before you go too far along that line of thinking.
As for decision making why is it the CEO takes the blame for the bad ones but the AFL credit for the good ones. that to me points to a reasonable competent CEO. I am still stuck on the way he handled the Essendon situation even tho he did inherit that one.
But I would say Good Friday, Women's Comp, Buying out Etihad stadium and the plans around it, would be making a decision.
I have attempted to put the mistakes I believe the AFL has made in one column and the good points in another column and so far have been surprised.
In order to honestly judge a man we owe to ourselves to looks at all the points
Overall I feel his management style is poor. You have listed a few things in which you say he has done well.

I wonder that the size of the AFL is what is driving momentum. You say he inherited the Essendon situation yet surely he has also inherited Good Friday as this has been an agenda item for at least 15 years. Womens Football I will concede he is driving , but this is also momentum driven.

And the Etihad Stadium deal was always approaching at some date. The buyout would have been discussed at Commission level anyway.

The reason I feel he has benefited from momentum is he continues to use that momentum to make decisions. The Brownlow was badly handled. Once Essendon was found guilty the decision was easy. That it took a further 13 months says a lot about Gil than anything

Princes Park is looking really good. Don't know why Carlton don't ask to return for the boutique games. ie Gold Coast, GWS and Port

I'm a man and I appreciate feminine beauty as much as the next bloke, but it really ticks me off when men and women place UNDUE emphasis on women's looks and superficial things. Young women should aspire to be the best version of themsleves they can be, follow their dreams and make a positive difference. They shouldn't be thumbing through Instagram all day saying 'oh my god, Kim Kardashian! I want to be her!'

It also bugs me when young ladies place such an enormous emphasis on their outfit for a special occasion - to the extent that if someone else happens to show up wearing the same dress, it's a disaster. You are more than your clothes. Essentially, when a wag is JUST a wag (a decoration or trophy) she's doing a huge disservice to herself and the cause of feminism. I don't know Jake Stringer's ex, so I can't really comment on her level of personal achievement or development.

Only got 26,940. They'd expected 35,000 today and probably expected 50,000 when they announced it.

Had plenty of issue with crowd behavior from the sounds of it too. Shit fight as well.

This would have been perfect if we had a rectangular stadium in the city.

Adelaide Oval was always too big for that event .....was never going to have the atmosphere .....and looked sparce

As for the fight .....did anyone realistically expect anything different ....both fighters in the 40's ..both fighters really struggled in their last fights

All the "mugs" did was contribute to their Superannuation Fund

Absolutely. In election mode now. Hopefully one of them has the balls to do up Memorial Drive and move the 36ers there and accommodate things like this.

Actually I'm pretty sure at the last fed election the Libs had a policy on this.

We've got an opportunity to set up the city and just think, we can use it as our Crows shed. That would get packed after a game.

A bit of salt on the Port board over womans footy.

I liked the comment about last nights game being a perfect storm of circumstances in getting such a big crowd last night and lets see what happens over next three seasons.

It is exactly what Port are experiencing with the move to AO. A perfect storm of a little bit if onfield success and AO novelty factor in 2015 and the crowds have been dropping ever since.

The irony of that kind of post being on the Port board amused me.

Yeah, women's footy, I'm not a fan, but if it's causing salt on the Port board then I'm all for it.

Absolutely a perfect storm with the HUGE amount of pre-publicity and perfect weather .....that said this league and its product will get even better over the next 3 years

Anyone who thinks it won't simply is applying emotional boas and not logic

Quade Cooper records easy win over Jack McInnes

Quade Cooper's fight a 'disgrace'
Wallabies star Quade Cooper has maintained his unbeaten record as a professional boxer with a knockout victory against Jack McInnes in Adelaide.

Cooper now has three consecutive wins in his pro career - all by knockout - after out-muscling an opponent more renowned for his mixed martial arts skills.

McInnes, who had also been knocked out in his previous two pro boxing fights, was felled by several consecutive head punches from Cooper, who will now return to pre-season rugby training with the Reds.

Boxing fans took to social media before the fight to raise questions about the fitness of Cooper's opponent after photos emerged of the pair's weigh-in.

McInnes was pictured at the weigh-in looking out of condition. Fans were quick to take to Twitter to criticise McInnes' shape, while Cooper also copped some flak ahead of the bout.

Had very good seats, did not see many crowd issues apart from a few drunks,
And to be honest watch a few very good fights, On the undercard and name to remember for the future one who will be an absolute star Tim Tszyu
Both the Maloneys had good fights and showed along with Tszyu that Australia was well placed for the future.
One fight was Shit the Quade Cooper fight and to be honest, don't see a big future in the fight game for him.
But can tell you the last fight was Good It was not 2 old men, No it was a classic fight between Boxer and Brawler, to me the Boxer won, But the judges gave it to the brawler.
