Broadcast to 1.3billion people in China as they sit down to their Sunday lunch.


The other game was seen by a few Tealsters, some tarps and a tv audience who thought they were watching the Comedy Channel.

So Port have missed out on a womens team which may lead to young female port supporters going for the crows girls as its the only SA side to go to to find some female SA based role models/idols to look up to and risk losing supporters to a major rival full time and now they are playing a game in China against a team wearing China's national colours which may lead to all the Chinese actually watching going for Gold Coast. You can't script this stuff. This is not ideal for our old mates down the road.

I don't think the colours matter for the china match.
If 2 European handball teams came to Aus to play a game, we wouldn't get behind the team that is wearing Green & Gold, we would go about our normal day to day activities and pay no attention to this sport that we don't know anything about.

The few people who get given free tickets to the match and decide to go watch RD Ribnica play HC Midtjylland also wouldn't watch these people play a random sport and decide they should go visit Slovenia.

Port honestly wanted the AFL to stop Gold Coast from wearing it's home jumper in there own home match that they had to transfer to China because Port refused to transfer a home match of their own?

Take take take but never giving - it's classic Port Adelaide. The only thing they give is up.

I quite enjoy watching Handball when it is on Eurosportnews. But my casual watching of it means very little to the revenue of the actual sport itself.

For perspective, in terms of global viewers it is a bigger sport than Aussie Rules and the top professionals get paid more than our AFL players.

I can tell you that Power Pete was given the authority, by the Port Adelaide Football Club, to take Photo's at any time at training, with the proviso, that he cannot make any comment on any of the training or players.

Obviously he leaves the commentary to you.

The gap in all this is what can he actually do with the photo's.

The mere fact that he has sought permission to take photo's is telling. Has he been assigned ownership rights of the images by Poort Power? placing water marks to claim ownership i'd say is just someone beating their chest.

I got a fair idea what he does with them......

I asked this question on the port board (silly me) all i got was abuse and told i was salty.

I thought i read that the afl were compensating Gold Coast for their lost home game but couldnt find anything.

Poor old Port, they couldn't have picked a worse team to play against for the China game.
