I thought the AFL / MRP were in a very deep hole because "3rd fine", and there was no way they could justify letting him off without even a fine. But someone on the main board posted that fines from the minor round don't carry forward in to the finals. If true, then they can save him by making the penalty a fine?

in the AFL tribunal guidelines, i couldn't see anything about fines not carrying over to the final series

If thats the case, then yes he should be fined. Tbh if this wasnt a gf he would get a game at least.

Surely no one believes he will miss a game because of it. Shiel would have needed to die in order for Cotchin to miss the grand final.
