Why play him in the forward line over R3? Surely he is the best ruck rookie option for us all, so why wouldn't we try and maximise money making potential by putting him at R3? I understand you are giving up an option for Strandica but rookies drop all the time, loophole will come from somewhere!
Simple, because he has the scoring potential for being an on field starter. I've seen all these teams with Eddy or Pickett as their F6, they're not going to score high enough to warrant on field selection, why waste a rookie who will on the bench? With Strnadica I can also swing him forward for Cameron if i need to take advantage of high rookie scores as my emg.

Sydney is one of those teams that has a fairly good set of tall forward ruck options. It will be hard for them to fit him in on a regular basis unless they want to go really tall in the forward line.

I mean Sinclair will manage most of the ruck with Tippet, and if Sinclair goes down Naismith will most likely take his place. I think his best chance of a solid run is if Tippet goes down, otherwise I can only see him playing a handfull of games in the first half of the season as they test different line ups before there is any chance of him getting a solid run.
Naismith is already ahead of Sinclair, he replaced him in the second half of last season.

Joel Smith has the injury icon on Supercoach - "Toe. Subject to fitness test"

Until Papley returns.
Does Fapley play the same role?
I don't know who Florent is taking a spot from in the mids/forwards. Is it Faps? Fapley is out for 2-3 weels. surely will go back to NEAFL to get match fit. after 6 weeks Florent should be out but he may get another run later?
Thoughts oz?

Well then swap those 2 around, but the issue still stands. Cameron, is well and truly down the order for a team that would expect to play finals again and wont really take as many chances with tall KPP/Ruck first year players.

If he is named R1 we will see, but even against Port I dont think Sydney will run him.

I was being somewhat facetious re: Papley. I like what I saw of Florent but as I said, I guess it depends how deep you're going rookie wise in your forwards.

He's already been pretty much confirmed for round 1.

Cameron is ahead of Sinclair according to some Swans.

Lets see, I still need more convincing.
He hardly has any worse job security than a Butler, Miles, Houston, Parfitt plus has a higher scoring ceiling and I reckon you have a combination of some of these players already, heck even Taranto isn't a sure thing and people are paying $207k for him.

Haha, jokes on you, I only have 1 of those players. Although not sure thats a positive thing.

Thats would be a big call.

At the end of the day if he does get named R1 and manages 6-7 early games then you win, i'll wait to see if named before taking the plunge though.

What joke? Yes you have one of these players already, thanks for making the point for me.

You said combination, 1 does not make a combination. There for, jokes on you :p.

To be honest though, the forward rookies just seem fairly low stocked this year. Not alot of confidence being inspired by many.

The rookies are real, they are arriving. It's gonna be ok. I don't hate 2017 SuperCoach anymore. Well at least for now.

Yeap no brainer.

Yep!
Then again, we'll have to make choices now, so we all know if obvious popular choice score 10 and then get dropped, while the POD left-field option will score 90s and play every match

Scored 58 from 59% tog in their last game and had a few stints on ball in the first half. 12, 11 and 16 disposals from his three games at 74%, 62% and 59% tog. Reckon that you could do worse but it really depends on how you're structuring up your forward line. He certainly is a better pick purely in terms of points scoring potential than most of the bottom priced forward rookies imo and I wouldn't waste a spot for Butler ahead of him but it depends how deep you go in the forwards.
Well at the moment I'm trying to figure out if I go Steele (f4) + jaeger (m7) + Zak jones (m4)

Or

Jelwood/ hanners (m3) + rookie under 160k (d6) + florant (F6)

I mean jones (d4)*

That's what I'm thinking but then I have second thoughts on it that Steele may have a big season same with jaeger
Their stepping stones not keepers.

Waste of trades IMO

Premo always over mid pricers.
