Why play him in the forward line over R3? Surely he is the best ruck rookie option for us all, so why wouldn't we try and maximise money making potential by putting him at R3? I understand you are giving up an option for Strandica but rookies drop all the time, loophole will come from somewhere!

Is Preuss a decent chance to get some games? Played well in the JLT and if he is competing with Majak Daw for a spot then I'd say he's more then likely to get into the team.

A few issues with picking pruess.

He doesn't have a great tank yet, is more of a primary ruck with a rest up forward and his 3 goals were fool's gold, in that he doesn't kick many goals and offers zero defensive pressure up forward.

As shit as Daw as been, he would most likely get the nod simply because of his tank, leg speed, leap, he doesn't have to be a primary ruck and he has shown the goods at AFL level before. Pruess will get his chance, just not yet.

Yep. Preuss is a ruck first and foremost.

Check JLT where he briefly rucked then went forward for the game. Offered next to nothing.

If Goldy plays, he plays majority in the ruck which means Preuss is effectively useless.

That will just be rookies moving onto main lists, where they aren't replacing a specific injured player (clubs can do this where they are running 38/6 or 39/5 instead of 40-4).

There will still be rookies upgraded in place of LTIs. Petrie for example.

Aww someone caught one. I was chuckling over the meltdown.

Brisbane does not have any nominated rookie spots. Those are only for clubs who are taking less than 40 players on their senior list into the season. Brisbane does have at least one LTI in Sam Skinner (ACL), and possibly a second in Christensen (shoulder).

Really would have preferred to see something more from the JLT, its the reason I watch it, to see which rookies look ready. He did not.

Probably one of the guys that wont hit is stride for a while and frustrate early on.
