An upgrade on Paparone but I don't think he's good enough to be an AFL footballer.Jaksch been delisted, Surely PSD... Was so keen to get him when he wanted out of GWS. Kid can play.

If he can't hack it at Carlton there's probably no chance he makes it with us.Jaksch been delisted, Surely PSD... Was so keen to get him when he wanted out of GWS. Kid can play.

There are reasons Carlton didn't even bother trying to trade him. Also the fact he could not get a game at Carlton is a fair indication.Jaksch been delisted, Surely PSD... Was so keen to get him when he wanted out of GWS. Kid can play.

I think you will find it is about the average especially for a bottom side. Sides going well turn over less.12 additions last year. But even 10 I don't think is sustainable year after year. All lists need to remain organic but hopefully our list soon gets to the stage where we are only looking to make five or six changes each year.
It's quantitative. Look at the stats. Through senior, rookie and trade that is about the turnover. It was more than that last year.It is not normal year on year. The fact that we have turned over so much of our list in recent years only furthers my point. You ditch players because they aren't going to be best 22, but you just replace them with players that aren't likely to be either. Move forward 2 years and you are delisting the blokes you just brought in for the other blokes you cut. Sometimes, you just need to retain players to ensure you can bring in quality. We've also had a lot of higher picks in recent years which has helped in turning it over. Assuming we take Ballenden, as it stands we probably draft 3 kids with our first 3 picks, Ballenden with remain pick points and that is it. It is only 4 spots.
Teams up playing finals aren't turning over 10 list spots every year. This cycle only breaks when you bring in enough quality.
And so Hawthorn have been fairly successful yeah. Turned over 10 last yearIt is not normal year on year. The fact that we have turned over so much of our list in recent years only furthers my point. Actually I was wrong Hawthorn turned over 11, Gws 10 and Sydney 9. Let me do the math.It is not normal year on year. Saw him play for preston a number of time..........not up to it.Jaksch been delisted, Surely PSD... Was so keen to get him when he wanted out of GWS. Kid can play.
Now here is a glass half full man.........luv ya thinking Dlions.A few of the blokes that are being spoke about are out of contract next year anyway. Cant delist them all this year otherwise who do we find to move on next year.
specially Clayton who hasn't been given a red hot go in my booksIn the right environment and free of injury players can turn their careers around. Bastinac and Walker are two that have done so this year. Who's to say others can't.
we got the wrong one hahahahahaWhen have we ever got all the players that we've apparently "targeted" as reported in the media. Last year we were reported as interested in or linked to by the media; Frost, Dunn, Minson, Silvagni, Hartung, Greenwood, Whitecross, Marley Williams. Of that list we got 1. I don't think we'll struggle for spots on our list if we need them. There's plenty of guys that aren't contracted for next year that can make way without cutting guys with contracts. As mentioned the only one could be frost depending on how his concussion is. Given it re-surfaced a week or two after initially presenting, thats not a good sign.
You need to be careful when turning over a list that you don't cut too deep too quick. Its more than just on field performance you have to think about, there's relationships, group dynamics, who sets training standards etc etc. There's a whole raft of things to take into account that can have a material affect on team performance.
Then you have who may potentially leave as well via trades. There are a few that I would think could be available for the right offer if they wanted to go elsewhere.
Whats pretty certain is that any team finishing with a wooden spoon, doesn't tend to struggle for list spots at the end of the year.
He had a really good debut against us last year and thought he was gonna be a great player but havent seen anything of him since. We aren't trading pick 1 for McKenna, Francis and steaknives tho. Ridiculous, Bombers would think thatWhat sort of a ceiling do u think Francis has? Was really big on him in his draft year, but have been pretty underwhelmed with what I have seen so far. (Which to be honest is not a whole lot).
Yeah I remember that game mate and thought that he had some real potential. Completely agree that we wouldn't entertain that trade. Just curious on where Francis is at.He had a really good debut against us last year and thought he was gonna be a great player but havent seen anything of him since. Has the skills, but zero tank and it hasn't improved much since he joined. Could end up being a big waste of talent. What sort of a ceiling do u think Francis has? McKenna for OSD it is then!We won't be trading with Dodoro.
Have watched Francis play forward and rip it up, I'm surprised Essendon haven't tried him as a 3rd tall in the seniors. Last year in the VFL finals in his first year he went forward and kicked a bag.Has the skills, but zero tank and it hasn't improved much since he joined. Could end up being a big waste of talent.
Jake Barrett finally asked him to marry himWhat's happened to Dodongo? Maboo misses Dodongo.
