Have to agree with you on robbo as well. Liked the way he played, hated him against us

There's a decent list of those players in the league. We have two right now in Robber and Matho who could be the new kids on the block for that list.

Otten, Keefe, May, Cheney, Schoenmakers and Trengrove (I assume Ports Trengrove as it was mentioned with other defenders)... join the dots it seems we are definitely after a mature tall defender. I guess every club with a need would be sounding out a lot of the OOC players though just to gauge interests from other clubs etc. No idea on their contract status ATM though.

Also heard we could be looking at Rischetelli again apparently. Not sure on this one but let's see how that transpires...it makes sense I guess.

Out of that list the only one I would be excited about coming would be Steven May. I either want us to go to the draft as high as possible or trade in elite right age bracket types or free agency player/coach type deal eg. Luke Hodge, Dale Morris.

I wouldn't want any part of Cheney or shoenmakers. Not sure on keefe, but the others seem interesting.

And rischa? That would be interesting but I thought he signed a 2 year extension? I might be wrong. Just ask jackess

I agree with you in terms of rischa, but I am not sure hodge or morris fit that bill either. They are elite or were, but might not last as long as we need them to.

Would only want them in a 1 year player/coach role followed by 2 year assistant coaching role, coming as UFAs. The elite players I was posting about would be in the 21-25 age bracket. eg. Steven May or Jacob Hopper/Matthew Kennedy, while the latter 2 wouldn't be classed as elite yet I am very confident they have the tools to get there very soon.

Would love Hodge on that type of deal, would definitely bring some extra mongrel to help the 2 Robbos. I'd be happy if we managed his playing load and he played between 15-18 games for the season off the back flank educating our young defense.

The bloke we should have picked instead of Billy ****en Longer. Greene is a fantastic player but he seems like a guy with a bit of off field issues and a disciplinary problem on the field.

I agree (without knowing about his off-field) and it is what has put me off him in the past. But if he is gettable we need someone like him. Would be one of our best mids and would be very handy up forward.

Highly doubt your source, Cyril is contracted to the end of 2020. He would be a fantastic get though if he came as cheap as Sam Mitchell went to the Eagles, he'll be 28 next year so still a good 3-4 years or so left in the game, would certainly rather him than the likes of Bewick/Bell/Harwood/C.Beams.

The only thing that would give this sort of move any credence would be Fagan being here and he did mention Cyril as an example when commenting on our need for his type of player.

I personally think walker, bastinac and bell are living on borrowed time. If we had the money which we don't, we should be cutting our losses this year. Bastinac to lesser extent. Atm these guys don't offer anymore then a young fella imo. Their mistakes just contribute to bigger losses atm and we can get that from developing a younger guy

Think Bell is a goner, Bastinac is being given some hard love to see if he can come good and Walker 1st game in the seniors in defence was OK, 2nd not so but worth persevering with in defence for the moment.

I think Walkers first half was really quite good in defense.
Second half got a bit ragged.

I really like walker offensively in the back half. If he can improve as the year goes on he'd be super valuable. Clear that he's not a natural defender though at present
