I think he did, nice.Did he play with McCluggage and your avatar at Ballarat and board at the same school?

Does anyone else think that we might be a genuine chance for Parish? You would have expected him to re-sign by now I would have thought. Obviously still a lot of games left but with every week that goes by the chances of him leaving increases.

About time we played aggressive. Instead of paying overs for what we have we should have been targeting highly talented youth from other clubs. Money talks and a massive front loaded contract could tempt some to come up here.I like seeing this bit in the article about clubs interest in Hopper "The Lions are planning a more aggressive approach to trading and are prepared to put a long term, big money offer on the table".
I would be surprised if he left. He has explicitly said he'll stay which is usually a weird step for a 2nd year player to take, usually make no comment if there's a genuine decision going on.
Obviously we have the Matho connection, the need for young midfielders and the $$$/draft picks to get things done so if he suddenly decided to leave I think we'd be the club going hard for him.
Hopper is too injury prone what would he even cost would GWS expect pick 1
True but that was under a different regimen I honestly think we overpaid for him but he was under contract Hopper isn'tWell Beams has been pretty injury prone too yet we gave up a fair bit for him...

GWS wouldn't be expecting pick 1 for Hopper.
We would give up pick 1 for Josh KellyGWS wouldn't be expecting pick 1 for Hopper.
not Hopper, maybe Hopper + Kennedy?Apples v oranges. Beams premiership player and b&f winner when we traded for him. Not to mention he was also contracted.Well Beams has been pretty injury prone too yet we gave up a fair bit for him...
That would be great and an absolute steal for us, if we got Hopper we wouldn't necessarily need to go LDU with pick 1, just take Rayner. The thing about Essendon is they don't trade in good faith with anyone, so it's not like we have bridges to burn by seriously considering the PSD. Judging by what GWS have taken in the past for young players who haven't had a huge look in yet, we could probably get Hopper for a swap of second rounders.
Can you trade salary cap? Or does it only work if the opposition player was originally yours and was traded that off season? Fev, Deledio for example
Pick 1 for Hopper, Kennedy and Himmelberg?
Can't see something so extravagant from happening but it would help both clubs a lot. I know we have a lot of talls but Himmelberg would be best 22 playing alongside Andrews as the twin pillars. He looks good as a defender from the gams I've seen. Probably too much in our favour that trade.
Yeah, I thought of that but we have round 6 OOC players that are likely to get moved on. No idea about Rocky but if he stays on than the potential Cameron trade if it does happen will mean we are over the list space though IIRC...Would potentially create list space issues.
Where exactly would you play Himmelberg? McStay has shown a lot this season wouldn't think he's ahead of him Witherden and Cutler are our running defenders who both look good Robertson has played well as a medium shutdown defender Gardiner also goes okay as the medium defender and than there's the likely future captain AndrewsPick 1 for Hopper, Kennedy and Himmelberg?

He was originally drafted as a forward, he could potentially be a very good third tall option up forward. Not sure who would be second ruck, maybe Schache for a chop out. I think in time, once he builds some size Hippy would make a good second ruck.Where exactly would you play Himmelberg? I don't like relying on players who have shown nothing at the top level. I think Skinner has a future besids Andrews but we need real results. Fraught with danger to wait around. What if he does a knee again which is fairly high chance given the tendency for ligaments to be brittle after multiple injuries. Anyways was just a discussion as I don't think something like this would occur. And Skinner is banging down the door too.
