Since 2010 Lobbe's played two full seasons and one 17 game season. He's contracted for a while yet and is apparently on a pretty decent wage for a full time SANFL player. He might not be getting Tippett money, but bailing Port out would still be silly unless we get pick 2 out of it. Even then I'd be reluctant, it's a very Cleveland Browns thing to do.

If Lobbe was to come to the Lions you can be assured Port would be paying a percentage of his wage.

What happened to our compensation pick request? Rocky gone - Schache probably gone because he can't handle living in Brisbane. We finished last. Suddenly the request has merit.

If we get 18 for Rocky and a Priority pick at the end of the first round, at 19, we will also have 20.

Plenty of options become available to us then. Can't see the AFL granting it to us though

Karnezis wasn't a prime top pick. In fact, many thought we reached for him at 25.

I was a a massive fan of Karnezis, he seemed to read the flight of the ball so well and had the potential to be a very good players. Completely let down by a lack of heart, commitment and willingness to put in the hard work on the training paddock. Basically one of the more unprofessional guys into the comp in the last 5-10 years.

Couldn't find a good enough thread for this as he's a local and there's no way he'll be part of any trade; but Ben Keays - what's the story there? He's been one of the best NEAFL performers and somehow he seems to be on the outer at Brisbane. Why doesn't he get a solid run at it?

Definitely not on the outer, just needed to work on a few things. Won't be going anywhere.

Understand that, he's a great young player but it seemed baffling to have Claye Beams in the squad ahead of him. Does he slot into the spot that Rocky vacates?

Not on the outer at all. Second year, played 10 games, will be an important player going forward.

Different positions. Claye is a bit more versatile, even if a bit more uninspiring.

Probably IMO. I'd definitely suggest he's got the inside running at a minimum.

This is a reported weak draft for talls, and multiple victorian clubs are in need of a young KPF. If we were to trade Schache now is the time.

I'd want something else like 36 coming back the other way to even it out.

Get Cameron for Pick 18/19. Then go to draft with 1, 6, 12 and use 36 & 41 points for Ballenden. We need top end talent rather than picks in the 18/19s IMO.

Think getting Pick 6 is unlikely though. Probably a 2018 first rounder as a direct swap I suspect if Collingwood want Schache.

I'd take there 2018 1st rounder as it will prob be pick 1
