They're looking hard at Scott Jones.

After todays game are people still suggesting we get rid of McKenzie?
Emac seems to get mentioned all the time I think people are just thinking of his 2016/early 2017 form. I can't see him not being offered a contract.

Why did Lecras have his daughter with him on the field after the game? Is he retiring and didn't want to be chaired off? Or was it some kind of milestone game for him?

EMac is better than last year, but he's still nowhere near the player he was. Still, he's holding down a role at the moment and being solid enough.
Happy for him to take a 1 year extension but was being touted he wants 2.

Off topic here , does anyone remember Brad Smith, the full foward from subiaco who kicked a ridiculous amount of goals in the WAFL? If he didnt have knee problems with us i am adamant he would of been one of the best FF's the afl had seen

Yep I remember him well.

2 knee recos in succession destroyed what may have been

So why do you think we took Gorter? What do you think he could bring to our AFL team at some point in the future?
Instead of this being about Gorter think about this. Why did the eagles just not delist Tunbridge at the end of last season they could have picked up Banfield/Tim Kelly instead.Secondly why did they give Paddy Brophy another year on the rooke list.I could have told you he wouldn't make it and half way thru the year he goes back to Ireland. We could.ve used that pick to get Liam Ryan.Know we don't have to talk about Tom gorter.

Yes had huge potential still at the club , Brad Smith hurt his knee at Mandurah as did Mitch Brown as did Eric Mackenzie .....the Peel oval curse .

Yes. He now coaches our father son prospects or something.

I was at training when he did his knee the 2nd (?) time.

Better kick then some of tho

I think his kicking is a lot better then some of the eagles backline players who played on Saturday.

Also as a junior prospect he got some kind of illness, maybe glandular fever, and wasnt picked up.
**** thats what you call unlucky. To be overlooked at a young age due to illness is pretty stiff but then to end your career without playing a game due to an ACL is nek level unluckiness. Must have walked under a ladder and etc.

Brophy was category B so no we couldn't haven taken Ryan instead of Brophy. We're talking about Gorter because we made the conscious decision to take him over Ryan and Banfield. You won't answer my question (which I have asked twice now) because you don't have an answer. You're well aware that Gorter is never going to be an AFL player and fills no real need on our list.

this time last year Gorter was killing it. As an undersized defender he was beating much bigger opponents. Seems like being drafted by the eagles became his curse.

What? Gorter was only ever average and it was stunning that we drafted him.

I can only assume it was as a recompense for some misdeed to East Perth. I have no answer other than that.

in that case we could have kept adamson. correct me if i'm wrong as a cat b.Why keep Tunbridge for another year.could have got somebody else for him. This is gorter's first year on the list so I will give him some slack. There are players in their second and third years who I have doubts about whether they will be afl players.everybody has their own agaenda.I suspect if nelson got 6 kicked on him and ended up as emergency then cole will be the emergency after being bathed by ryan this week.

I see sam menegola as one that got away. I know hindsight is a wonderful thing but when he was delisted by freo and hawthorn and came back to subiaco, losing the sandover by only 4 votes after missing half the season, shouldnt we have had a look at him and potentially picked him up? this is why we should pick up a player like tim kelly this year, sure its a risk, but hes stood up very well in the WAFL and suits our needs. Wont come at a high draft price either.
Mature local talent should not be underestimated

Did notice this. Also when they ran through the banner he was up the front with Priddis and getting pats on the back from teammates. Really felt like he was playing his last (home) game.
