West Coast keen on WA product linked with move home

This is probably why. Fas might have talent and at 25 is still in the recruit bracket but is contracted, has never kicked more than 30 goals in a season, is constantly injured and is currently dealing with some mental health issues. Pies will want at least pick 30ish from us. If it's not for a third then I'm not interested but knowing crazy Vozzo it will be pick 30ish plus our 3rd for their fourth. Hines gets the KY ready every time he sits down with us.

Cameron did have great skills, he was completely deadly if given any kind of space. Although, a bit like his club, he could be impacted by physical pressure. Not in any way saying he was soft but he was more finesse than physical.

Schofield is his own man, like many leaders, and he can be abrasive. But that's true if many good leaders and many really good coaches. The secret is often the group they are part of.

Personally I think potentially abrasive characters are in short supply at West Coast.
I would think that Clarkson at Hawthorn would be an example of this?

Hi Obeanie1

Answered on Hunter above.

The flexibility in the salary cap is sensible - gives clubs a better way to manage payments for such eventualities as you mentioned.

A bit of a vague answer but thats ok.

Can we then assume that with the FA options this year now looking thin that we wont be investing any of our excess cap space this year on a FA?

It feels as if the Eagles are in "no mans land", not good enough to match the top sides not bad enough to need a full rebuild. Finishing just inside the top eight doesnt get you access to the elite kids. Our strike rate in the draft particularly with 2nd round picks hasnt been great for some time. Unfortunatly Perth is not a popular trade destination so what does the club do?

For those talking about using both sides of the body, it's actually our brains that get in the way and tell us we're not as good on our non practised side. I've been teaching skills for a long time and that's what people struggle with the most. The trick is to practice the skill on your usual side and memorise how you do it, then practise it on your non-usual side until you feel more comfortable with it. It's important to practice the technique correctly because practice makes permanent, only perfect practice makes perfect. :)

For those that follow the wafl closely. How does Kelly compare to menegola and his time in the wafl? Are they similar type players at all? Menegola type player isn't exactly a star but good value as a late second or later pick

Reading the article on the AFL site I reckon we are right into Fasolo and we have someone lined up for the pick 13? Maybe more hoping than anything.

I would hope that with any discussion for Fasolo Schofield is included.

Pies need to shore up their tall defenders and we have a surplus.

Pies have picks 36 in the 3rd and 54 and 59 in the 4th.

Four isn't really a surplus. And Schoey is contracted til 2019. Can't imagine we'd be that keen to offload someone who provides handy depth in a potentially vulnerable position

Nothing alike in playing styles.
Kelly also has genuine leg speed, in the style of the Hill brothers.
Menegola more a hard working bustling sort of player, Kelly more a free wheeling aggressive running player.

I hope we are able to pick Kelly up as he is a plug in ready to go player.
With many attributes that we are short on..... Kelly is a 70 meter player.

We actually have five, Rotham is a developing 194cm 3rd tall back.

We also have Yeo, Sheppard and Hurn who all play taller than you would expect.

Given that some feel three tall defenders is too many in one game we have this position well covered. I suppose it would be smart to get Gov under contract before letting someone like Schofield go in order to improve the list.

We need Midfielders and a little bit of luck with our midfielders ...

Sheppard might need to try Midfield minutes again and anyone else half capable of playing midfield .
Shep isn't a mid
