Good effort except for keeping Gorter on the rookie list , he offers us nothing he is a tweener and not a particularly good one at that.
He hasn't improved as a player and he plays a position we are long on, even though its only a rookie spot he is a list clogger.

Snadden on the other hand has improved is younger and plays in a position we are short on and has much better skills than Gorter.

So IMO Gorter goes and Snadden get another year.
I could name 15 younger WAFL player I would prefer to give a rookie spot to before Gorter.
Not being facetious but to me it seems like Snadden is the prototype midfielder physically but his kicking is horrid.
I know I said the same thing when we drafted him and RE rode me harder than Lindsay Lohan with a 12" strap on.

Sometimes I wonder if its hard not to get blinded by aspirations of what could be VS real potential.
Would the same luxury be afforded to a player 10cm shorter? - He just doesn't look like a true footballer to me. (I love Higgins this year and Daniel in his draft year to give you some idea of my thinking)

In saying that, I haven't seen him live.

He was always a project. The question is whether we cut the strings after 2 seasons ala Main or we stick to it for one more... Personally I'd rather give someone like Bailey Banfield or DeLuca the spot, but if he gets it like Main has then it will have paid off.

Surerly we can convince Tom to stay. We always play some bloke at hff that's never played there in his whole career but some one like Tom is a natural hff.

Not really. His ball trajectory and speed off the boot is fine.

In saying that his hands are his real strength, he's just a very good distributor.

Not too fussed if lamb leaves. Waterman had already leapfrogged him in the queue for a game by the end of the year, and he looks the better player to me.

One has forward craft and the other doesn't. So while you're not fussed if he leaves you're not comparing apples to apples and Lamb shouldn't be playing forward.

Waterman has to overcome some of his physical limitations.

I don't see but I hope you're right.
Athlete is footballers shoes

* I think Waterman will be an excellent player

You want Banfield while we've got guys on this board knocking Snaddens kicking. Ball magnet with zero hurt factor.

What role does Deluca play at AFL level? Not saying he's not an option but he's no AFL midfielder and hasn't produced the goods around goals.

Wasn't there an article on AFL.priddis a couple hours ago about Motlops 'sliding doors moment'?

Something about how nominating Port has cost Geelong a better compensation pick because if he'd have gone with Adelaide they would have gotten a better pick (pick 19) due to the fact their offer was larger.

Next minute... Geelong get pick 19 as compensation anyway, despite Ports much lower contract.
Ports offer was 50k less per season than crows, but was a 4 year deal, crows was 3 year. No afl conspiracy. But don't take off your tin foil hat cause the guvment might be listening

Motlop is a toilet brush and Geelong just got given the same compensation as Hawthorn got when Franklin left.

If you can't see how ridiculous that seems then i do believe you sir, are a couple Luke Shuey high tackles short of a Dixon set shot.

Ah Chee is obviously talented, for the life of me I can't figure out why he hasn't gotten a consistent run of games at Port, regardless of perceived depth.

Talent wise, he's worth a 2nd rounder for mine. The kid has skills.
However given he's basically not a required player at Port, the fact they're holding out for a 3rd rounder is laughable.
Take the 4th rounder and let the lad get on with the next phase in his life/career FFS Port.
Sensible post. I suspect port will do the right thing by ah chee but will hold out to the last minute to let wc sweat it out and will also be investigating better options with Gold Coast first.
Ah chee is a top bloke, bit old school but has always dealt honourably with the club unlike Stevens & Jacobs.

Cool! Highlights what a bunch of F@-:)sticks Port are if they think that was doing the right thing. A bit like saying "we didn't force you to accept the absolute worst case outcome of getting nothing, so you should be greatful for the pennies in the dollar we did give you".

"Obviously, we had the option of stabbing WCE in the ****, we could have maybe got him for less then," Power football manager Peter Rohde said.

"But Brad himself and we were keen to do the right thing by West Coast, we were keen to get him to our club as quickly as possible and start pre-season, so we just clamped them by the nuts.

"Some people encouraged us to rip those gonads right off, but I don't think that's good for the industry."

Be careful when bagging a player that you don't know much about. Years ago we were offered a young josh Kennedy in a 3-way trade for Shaun Burgoyne, I was insulted and irate, Burgoyne is a genuine star, who the f€£k is Kennedy?. Trade was turned down but I sure as hell know who Kennedy is now.
Port aren't the worst club to deal with in trade talks either. Collingwood & crows are a lot worse. But port won't cave in easily either. We have let good players go before for nothing (nick Stevens) on principle, but not to the club of their choice, if their suitors were unwilling to make a reasonable offer.
Ah chee is a good bloke and doesn't want to do the club over, I note he has stated he is willing to go anywhere to continue his afl career, and I note that a lot of players are now urging port to hold onto him and give him more of a run next season.
Eagles can play tough and hope to get him for nothing but Gold Coast and a few other clubs will take a serious look at him first.

Happy for him to go to GC and be a superstar for all I care, as long as we pay back port.

He nominated wce. Stevens is now an example that u will use until end of time? That worked out so well for u, didn’t it?

Lucky ah chee isn’t Stevens and not sure who else will care as much as they did for Stevens. If ah chee was so great, u would have found a spot for him.

We can't pay Port back for Ebert, but we can avoid getting ****** again.

Hopefully Vozzo can replicate Shuey and slot the Ah Chee for 4th rounder deal at the death.

Credit to Port on their trade period though. They have killed it.
Meh I think they will get 2 good years out of 4 for both rockliff and Motlop . Neither are A Graders but are priced Asa graders

He handballs the ball a far as Priddis kicks it, we'd be doing well to get him for pick 31 really

So port can bring in rockliffe and motlop on decent free agent coin, dixon last season on good coin aswell, keep boak when geelong were circling and keep wingard, gray, ebert etc happy. Are they " dishing out the maccas franchises" like apparently we used too in the good old days and if not and their cap is tight should we be in SPP's ear already?
