One has forward craft and the other doesn't. So while you're not fussed if he leaves you're not comparing apples to apples and Lamb shouldn't be playing forward.

Quick list off the top of my head : Lim, Guelfi, Banfield *, Bolton, Sokol, Baker, Ryan* ,Wright, Jones, Redhead, Kelly*, Schloith*, Stewart, Narrier, Ninyette*.

To quickly name a few and I am sure I have missed some other obvious ones.

Not saying all these would make it ,but each offer something greater than Gorter going forward.
Some of these kids will be testing at he state combine tomorrow and some will get drafted.

Perhaps this explains why ah chee wasn't given more game time till now
I am not privy to what port players earn but I would suggest it's not as high as some might think.
Port do offer longer term medium pay to their stars, most of whom want to be one club players and who actually love the club. Dixon, Ryder are on good coin but nowhere near what, say lever was offered by Melbourne
And I believe we were one of the few clubs that didn't factor in increases in the salary cap
All stupid sniping aside, I rate ah chee highly and think wc would be foolish not to offer a 3rd rounder for him, just to finalise the trade. I suspect port will let him go at the last minute for a 4th rounder because he is a genuinely good bloke who has dealt honourably with the club. It's only guys who snake us that get the shit end of the stick.
But I suspect port would prefer he go to a club like gc first, one that is not viewed as a genuine immediate threat

Pretty sure we will move on when we screw u over. No1 priority in my eyes. Even though ebert is a spud who can’t kick. Ah chee is so good, apparently, that u couldn’t find a spot for him and then went to get Rockliff and Motlop. I am wondering how good this player actually is.

Yeah stevens was such a bad player and yet u wanted Didak plus first rounder for him. I can see how irrelevant he was to u. Think he had a bit more pulling power in pre season draft than ah chee does and will.
