Don't mind the prices for Fremantle, Carlton (not as if the dogs are great and they are coming back from WA) and North.

St Kilda might be worth a dabble at that price too. Hawks looked pretty ordinary yesterday minus Cyril and Puopolo.

Best value for me seems to be WC.

IMO they have a significantly more experienced and superior team which in the pressure of a derby should be telling. Won both matchups easily last year. Far more scoring power in attack. Sandilands normal ruck dominance should be nullified somewhat by Nic Nat / Lycett double team. Hill and Tabener likely to miss for Freo.

Biggest dangers for WC are Walters, but he is likely to countered by a great player in Sheppard and of course Fyfe who might be tagged by Hutchings. Teams were very successful last round in curtailing prime movers (Mitchell, Kennedy, Zorko).

With the intensity of a derby and Freo playing 5 rookies and other youngsters I can see them struggling to match WC in intensity.

I actually think no buddy could be a good thing for Sydney. As good as he is, sydney have been relying on him too much. Should free them up a bit and they seem to rise to the occasion when they're put under the pump.

Considering how much buddy conscious Sydney have been this season it may help them I50, not enough to beat the cats though

Geelong are a good price IMO.
North will also smash us the way we've been playing lately.

I know Higgins may miss, but we have zero leg speed in the middle, that something you need at Etihad to beat these teams.
Ben Brown is a chance at 10goals on the weekend.

GWS will have to score around 110-120 to cover as the Lions are atrocious away from the Gabba, it was only a few weeks ago they didn't score a goal for 3 quarters. Based on GWS current form seems 50/50 that they even score 100+, even against Brisbane who have improved heaps down back this season, having said that it's at Spotless so maybe the Giants can find their mojo at home.

That's true, I think that game was maybe more of Port having a bad game. But who knows, this season is stuffed Brisbane might come out and beat GWS this week.
I'm not sure 1 game from Bris against Port is a significantly large enough sample size compared to their other games on the road over the last multitude of years.

you're going to have a bad time with this "ridiculous league" if you consider 17 to be a team's "realistic football on the road" when their last 10 road scores have been

17
92
82
91
45
81
90
81
84
75
An average of 73.8. Against the best defence in the league at their first home game of the season coming off an embarrassing draw. Silly reasoning maybe, but those factors have to be taken into account. Can't see them cracking 70 on the weekend.
