Taheny is the one I want at this stage. Long way to go of course.
I really like Cam. Dropped off this year due to carrying injuries. He is a bit enigmatic. Can rip a game to shreds one day, and then go missing the next. Talent he has, consistency is what he needs to show next year. Another issue for him is that he gets thrown around alot. Every game I have watch live of him ( and thats 8) he was played forward, wing/mid and back.
Needs to be settled in a position.

Well the trade and draft period summed up why we need changes at afc. ******* bewildered by our decision making. Why didn't we trade into the top 5 picks during the trade period? I hope we do well next year but until Burton and co are exited from the club nothing will change.
Because no one would trade this years picks. Why do you assume we didn't try?
You want change. We literally did something we've never done before

Which makes this trade all the more unexpected

Can’t see the Blues finishing above NM/WB/Bris
This is what I'm thinking.

Carlton will improve of course, but I just cant see those directly around them getting any worse. Suns aside of course.

I'm still unsure how to view the trade. I think the difference in the value system is in the fact that Carlton knew exactly who we would get with the pick this year, when you trade picks before knowing who you would get, there is added risk.

I wouldnt write the Suns off so easily.

They played 11 consecutive away games this year plus China. They will improve.

Holy **** if anyone wants a laugh go read the early 40s pages of the carlton draft thread.

Listen to them talking about how their ballsy (should read: ****ing atrocious) trade is 'stamping their authority' on moving up the ladder and 'rebuild complete'.

I'm pissing myself.

So we've known about Luko and Rankine for how long?

And we put ourselves in a top 3 position ........next year.

How absolutely Adelaide
Is there a good KPP next year that could be available?

All we really need to do is lose to the Suns and the Blues wont make up the ground on them.

GC will finish bottom next year imo. they will virtually go into next year with no star players and a side full of b grade trades. Blues arent as bad next year as everyone thinks.

Because we couldn't and the clubs that held the top 5 picks were asking for too much. No club with a top 5 pick this year was looking at Crows pick 16 and 8 and thinking that's a good deal.
Plus we paid less than that for a top 5 next year

Yeah there’s always the risk of the draft crop turning out better or worse a year on, but that is obviously the risk we chose to take

Actually feel like this trade could be mutually beneficial, I do rate Stocker
