Can't see West coast trading but we could potentially do a trade with Adelaide tomorrow. They have pick 24 and then 69 so might be happy to swap them for 30 and 35.

Sydney also might agree to a similar swap.

Otherwise 30 goes to match a West bid and we draft at 35 and 42 and get Khamis later.

Missed it all.

So no trades at all??

Power has 24 hours to land that pick. Get it done.

Question is now though, who would we be trading for? Can’t make a trade for the sake of it

West will cost us 30 & that’s a win in itself. I’d like to go for someone like Cavarra with 35, a ready to go natural forward and Khamis with the next 2

No point now mate, all the lads who were (reportedly) worth burning two second round picks on are goneski. Power needed to trade for the GWS pick 19 for any of this to matter. Might as well cop West wherever the bid comes and use 32 (or whatever it becomes) on the next best, etc.

Strongly agree with the Cavarra idea! Also wouldn’t mind us using a pick on Bailey Williams to bolster our KPF stocks

The look on Butters face when he first got drafted, pretty much had the disappointed about having to move interstate look, then the quick "screw it, I've actually made an AFL team" turn around look in time for the stage. Put him on our, trade for him in two years time list.

Wish the AFL website had a list on their draft tracker page similar to the NFL which ranks the best rated/graded players top to bottom so you can easily see the biggest risers, sliders, and then can analyze who is left over that may be around you next pick. Boring having to wait for an AFL website release on "next best available players", if they actually have one. Unless you're a draft and under 18's expert, all your left is a list of names A to Z and wondering who is who.

Trading with crows was my hope. They would be after an extra pick after trading out 19. I'd do pick 24 and a future 3rd for 30 and 35. Get best available at 24 West for 42, khamis for 57 and finish off with hayes

So the swans get nick Blakey for 3 shit later picks and we’ll burn the Dahlhaus compo on West.

That’s incompetence if that’s how it plays out.
That is most likely how it will play out. Would suggest that the incompetence comment isn't far off the mark. Or maybe the Swans are just super-competent? They do have a top notch recruitment staff...

I was always a fan of letting Dahl go but also wanted that pick used in a trade. When we released our logo back in 2014/2015 pretty sure we used bold as a buzz word. Certainly haven’t done too many bold things since our premiership win.

Does anybody think a few too many people overseeing our teams?

It's always the safe play

Actually, it worked out that Sydney got Nick Blakey and the Eagles 3rd next year for next year’s 2nd, 34, 39 and a downgrade of 40 to 47.

Swans still had to use two 2nds and two early 3rds to get Blakey and two later 3rds.

Agree with the statements in this thread. We are lacking some balls in recruitment as of late.

GWS have future proofed their list yet again. They've cleaned up thus far.

Smith and West will be great additions to the midfield once they mature. Both tough and hard tackling. Smith doesn’t from appearance seem a guy who likes the tough stuff but he plays hard.

Can't complain too much. I was one of the maybe 3 posters on this board in Team King camp, but can't take what isn't available. Fremantle can get ****ed for tanking against Geelong.

Trading? At this point? Are you guys joking? The opportunity was there to pick up a couple of GWS's picks for pick 7. Absolutely no good reason to trade now, just use the picks we have.

Fox footy was talking up Tom Joyce as being a top 10 if he wasn’t injured. Anyone know much about him?

Legend, thank you. Looks like most of those the twenties will be gone before our next live pick (outside of West), but cannot complain about a draft that lands us Smith and West. But from that list, it will probably be a player from the WHO? list, or someone we haven't talked about much on here with one of our picks in the thirties. All the players that I hoped would slide are all gone atm.

I would have just taken both of the Kings had I been Gold Coast. Max with Pick 3.

And downgraded pick 2 for 5 and 10. Lukosius and Rankine seem like big risks to go home. At least with the Kings you would be pretty confident that the pair of them will want to play their entire careers together.

Rankine and Lukosius won’t last 5 seasons. Either of them.

They had given up 13 in the trade period which was involved with the picks they eventually gave up, not really a shit pick & doesn’t paint it how you’re trying to just to have another shot at Sam Power.
