Sadly cousin Stephen hangs out too much in the rehab room.....not sure either cousin will help their little cousin Ian

The Stephen Hill who has played 197 out of 219 games? That's 90% of possible games since he was drafted. That's phenomenal durability and selection.

These are based on minimal early season information

Lukosius _ Draft range 1-3 but I doubt anywhere outside the top 2.
Ben King 3-10 would be my guess at the moment
Max King 3-10 would be my guess, depending on his knee information.
Nick Blakey 3-10 as well then again, would you call him a key forward, I think he has a few more strings to his bow.
In addition to this, from Cal's podcast he asked 5 AFL recruiters who were the best talls in the draft with the following answers:
Recruiter 1: Ben King
Recruiter 2: Max King, but also said "Blakey is an f*n star"
Recruiter 3: Lukosius closely followed by Blakey
Recruiter 4: Lukosius closely followed by Max King
Recruiter 5: Lukosuis

I believe you could pick any of those players at 1 and be justified for it, all of them have incredible talent.

Yes indeed. It's very exciting. Pretty open at 1 atm. Rankin, Bailey Smith and Sam Walsh have been mentioned as poss top 5. Hately has his admirers. Some have also mentioned the Thomas bit could come in as high as Pick 2. Wouldn't that set the cat amongst the pigeons? Could wipe North out of the draft.

Lukosius, Kings * 2, Blakey - Those are potential pick 1's.
Then you have a list of midfielders that are around the mark and hopefully pushing for pick 1, that is some interesting top end talent.

I have a sneaky feeling Blakey may be the modern day forward in the mould of Curnow that would attract many talent scouts.

This draft is going to be super interesting. I am just looking forward to some names appearing that are not been massively talked about at the moment.

Also, some familiar non AFL surnames there.

Nick Gieschen. (Jeff's son.)
Bradley Flower. (Maybe Robbie's son.)
Simon Rosa. (The older brother of Matt.)
Andrew Tuck. (Maybe Shane and Travis' cousin.)
Dominic Gleeson. (One time Geelong VFL captain and related to both Adrian and Martin Gleeson.)

Unless McGovern leaves, Adelaide would be far more interested in trading to get Rankine than trading to get Lukosius.

Why Rankine over Lukosius? Not disagreeing just curious.
My guess is he fits a need more. CC replacement. Quite a few people have said he’s the best talent in the draft and can be match winner off his own boot, but won’t go pick 1 due to the position he plays.

Plus Adelaide have a pretty good underage tall forward in their academy for next years draft.

Williams to Dogs with pick 6 is a terrible selection. Even more so to Carlton again at pick 12.

I know it's happened before but there should be a ban on clubs selecting someone with the same name as a current player.

Dandenong's Bailey Williams and Glenelg's Bailey Williams should never be teammates.

Champion Data rank Izak Rankine the best player in the draft, and the best Jr they have seen come through ever.
https://www.adelaidenow.com.au/spor...a/news-story/85fb9b0b6c510d661ca689174641b89a

"In a feat never before achieved, forward/midfielder Rankine — who kicked five goals in the Croweaters’ championship-deciding win against Victoria Metro last week — has topped Champion Data’s player ratings in consecutive years at under-18 national level."

As an underage player last season, Rankine topped the player ratings with an average of 18.0.

The two players who finished right behind him — Paddy Dow (17.5) and Cameron Rayner (17.0) — went at picks three and one at the national draft to Carlton and Brisbane respectively.

This year Rankine raised his rating to 18.5 — a whopping 2.3 points higher than the next-ranked player Walsh, who is in the conversation to be the 2018 No. 1 draft pick.

Midfielder Walsh had 16.2 points, with Vic Metro’s Xavier O’Halloran (14.4) and Bailey Smith (14.1) the next-ranked players."

Champion Data analyst Jacob Wilson said he had never seen a player dominate like 18-year-old Rankine has in consecutive championships.

“In terms of performance no-one has been so successful at bottom-age level and then backed it up in their draft year like Rankine,’’ Wilson said.

“He’s our clear No. 1 pick at this point and is probably the most AFL-ready junior we’ve ever seen.

“He is that good that he could slot straight into an AFL premiership team now and be among that side’s best 10 players.

“It’s been mentioned that there might be some (discipline) issues which might push him lower than No. 1 but based on pure ability and performance he’s the best player in the draft.’’

Yep. They also have another strong forward called Anzac Lochowiak.

I remember seeing Anzac Lochowiak's name and thought it was a ripper.
