From my reading given he was delisted, he's now a delisted free agent and can move clubs (hence why his opinion of GCFC is important) during the delisted free agent periods.
Same as how we could sign for example a Dan Menzel without having to go to the draft
The key dates for delisted free agents are as follows:
  • Wednesday, 31 October 2pm: List Lodgement (1)
  • Thursday, 1 November: AFL delisted player free agency period (1) starts
  • Thursday, 8 November: AFL delisted player free agency period (1) closes
  • Saturday, 10 November: AFL delisted player free agency period (2) starts
  • Friday, 16 November 5pm: AFL delisted player free agency period (2) closes
  • Friday, 23 November 1.30pm – 2.30pm: AFL delisted player free agency period (3)
  • Tuesday, 27 November 2pm: Final AFL club list lodgement

How many club actually have senior list spot available to get him . Realistically some club list spot are vacant for draft point for their F/s and academy players . Why not wait until all club hand in their list lodgement before pressing the panic button . You mention Eagles and Fremantle ,do they have enough senior list spots vacant for them to get him as DFA .

If only some dickhead didn't sign Schonefeld and Lemmens up for 3 years then you could have sent them to the draft and guarantee they would still be there.

I think you would find Lemmens would be picked up. He is our whipping boy I know but he would add value to a lot of the other teams

Not sure about Shoenfield contract but look like Clayton already signed him and Sheer up , Craig cameron just make the announcement . Don't think Dew and Craig knew much about GC players list early this year .

Adam Oxley
Josh Smith
Sam McLarty

"as well as Kayle Kirby who has retired after collapsing earlier this year in a pre-season VFL match due to a heart issue.

Tim Broomhead will also be delisted with the promise of being with the club in 2019 as a rookie."

Any interest in these guys?

Given your mob was as much of a lay down misere to win the GF this year as GSW in the NBA and you epically choked not even making the GF then yes you should go looking around for a boost in character.
The way you blew a precious chance of going back to back with your roster and lack of injuries will haunt you for decades.

LOL Well that may be the case but there are no cert's in anything these days

Lynch is probably the only person happy at the tigers that we didnt win the flag in '18

I wish the best for them. Josh Smith and Adam Oxley are from QLD for what it's worth. But don't think suns have shown any interest thus far, so probably unlikely.

Yeah, I knew about the QLD connections. Hence the question. Interested in your opinion of Smith. Is he just an ordinary player or do you think he's AFL level?

Oh, Smith is definitely AFL level. Even when he was sent to VFL for majority of this season, he was one of the best goal kickers in the team. He unfortunately had been overlooked with our midfield pretty decent. He was 7th in our best and fairest in 2016. I just feel in another midfield he would strive. I mean heck, we're gonna have to remove someone to put in Beams, so our midfield is very competitive to get a look. It's not his fault, just lack of opportunity.

Interesting player. Deaf as a post, but has elite vision and anticipation. With the new rules restricting runners on the field during play he could teach our players and coaches some hand signals to relay from the sidelines.

It can't be easy for him. While he does have an earplant, I don't think he can hear fully. It would make sounds on the ground whether its the crowd, umpires or the players, difficult. But reading the play and judging the ball, that he can do. I guess that's why we had him as a ruck. I feel for him, to be in the system for 2 years, and didn't get a debut, though he did acquire an ankle injury. Some say that he would have debuted if not for that, as he was on the emergency list quite a few times over this season.

Knowing our luck with injuries he’d probably just poke someone in the eye.

I am ok with whitcross as Rookie list player , but got a bad feeling GC draft Maverick . :)

I rather gave GC academy players 1 year rookie AFL experience than Mav, but think Lachie will go to Dew and Craig .
