I am really confident in GC drafting Lukosius and Rankine now . More to do with rotation than anything Ainsworth and Rankine are dangerous small forward and capable of some time in Midfield .

I can’t see you guys trading 2 or 3. You should keep them and draft Luko and either Rankine or Rozee or the King Brothers.

You could trade 6 and get a good return though
I used to think GC won't draft Rankine but he is ever ready to rotate the forward and Mid time with Ainsworth . As for the Kings bro both will end up in South Australia.

Not going to weigh in on Lyons.

But in regards to Bowes, Brodie and Ainsworth, they were drafted along side Brisbane's draftees, McCluggage, Berry and Witherden. Those three kids have played almost every game they've been fit for, with Berry and McCluggage each being rested 1 game in their first year.

Not sure what's been going on with your development of young talent, but I would have expected Bowes and Brodie to have played more games this year.

Maybe Dew not coming in the same year as Fagan . Is hard for a new coach that not really involve in 2016,2017 to knew a lot about 2016 draftees strength and weaknesses .

Bowes was injured for part of the season.

Brodie has now worked his way into the team and was very promising in the last part of the season.

I think you might be on to it there. Hence the reason for bringing in Kaesler Clarke Francou and Andrew Swallow in as Development coaches......

Bowes and Brodie are in their third years. They should be ready to start playing heavy midfield minutes. Maybe not every game, but that's where guys like GHS and Miles come in I imagine.

Or someone like Pickett if we go down that road.
Ainsworth played some really impressive minutes in the guts too, plus Scheer has shown he is up for the rough stuff. I can still make a best 22 out of incumbent players and be satisfied that we have a solid core of players. All the rest are a bonus because they make real competition for spots and there are still 10 roster spots to be filled by a combination of Draft picks, free agents and Academy players.

I wish I knew what the plan is. So far it’s been “ let’s get belted every week to hide our amazing game plan” then “ let’s divest ourselves of all the mature talent and then replace them with players that can’t get a game elsewhere, slow but obedient players” I call it operation let’s totally **** the club or operation tassie

Nearly every single player on our list was looked at at senior level this year
Many are no longer with us
As an optimist this was the year of beltings
No way we were playing our best 22 every week
The cattle have been yarded and the weaker ones steered
Same as always

I mean, it’s not like he was a game changer to our team, and I fully expect Brodie to come in and replicate Lyons’ stats now that he is more entrenched in the midfield and ready to role. So I’m not disappointed that he’s gone per se. But what grinds my gears is that we have just delisted him, with a year to go on his contract? (I think), without any form of explanation from the club, Dew, etc. I know the coaching staff/list managers don’t have to explain themselves anytime they do anything, but a player like Lyons, one of our best performed guys when he played, firstly getting dropped numerous times despite good numbers, and now just dumped out of nowhere a day after lodging our list. Some sort of explanation to the members and fans would be nice. And why not trade him?
this in spades

a ripping article and actually strives to be truthful and equitable, well written

So to get things straight the suns have 5 top 30 picks, does pick 89 need to be used on MacPherson and now only two rookie spots to fill. Is this correct ?

Our Coach has a 3 year contract and has two years remaining.
I’ll be fully backing him in until his third year which is when I want to see his work and his plan come to fruition.
Lyons frustrated Dew at times in that when the momentum of a game changed against us he had no answers to reverse things.
Dew knows exactly what he wants, he’s not wishy washy or contradictory.
So let him build the club he wants us to be.
Sayonara Lyons

Yes. The communication for Lyons in particular was extremely poor. If we were told what Morris told us in his article I'm sure we would all understand. That makes sense.

We are a mile behind every other club when it comes to this.

I think there’s the perception that the Club can maybe get away with things that just wouldn’t run at Clubs with bigger supporter bases
It does give the impression of Martial Law
Military junta in charge until things improve
