For those that didn't see it, Hanley chased down a grubbered kick for goal and dived to touch it on the line, sliding almost to the fence with arms stretched out to slow himself. His shoulder muscles kinda spasmed and he held his wrist, so it wasn't until he popped it back in himself. What was worse was the commentator and my mate asking if the injured player was May. I nearly lost my lunch!

The game itself was a shitfight and Foxfooty's main camera lens was covered in rain for the entire first half. Commentators were getting names wrong and you could barely tell who was playing where. Hodge took a while to get into the game, but he still seems immune to the umpire's whistle with his blatant thuggery. The Suns were harder at the ball, but copped a caning in the freekick count until late as the Lions began to get desperate and the Suns started getting the rub.

Highlights: Me picking correctly as Suns players lined up for goal from the same spot, Sexton's miss, Ainsworth's goal and Darcy's goal, the latter two reward for effort and the former a worrying sign 2 weeks in a row even if his 7 tackles were third best in the team and his goal was all class.
- Fiorini's 11 tackles and hunger (he should have had a shot for goal at the end, but more senior players called for him to ice the clock)
- Miller's understated contribution of 8 tackles and work from end to end
- Thompson's defence was vintage - guy had 8 x 1%ers
- Lyons and Swallow had the dirtiest uniforms with 17 and 15 contested possessions
- Witts was possessed against Martin, with 6 clearances at stoppages and 8 x 1%ers, but he was crucified in free kicks
- the Defence kept diffusing Lions forward 50 entries time and again, with Bowes, Weller, Hall, Miller and early on Martin all going back
- KK isn't exactly back, but showed signs that he is on his way
- it was not a fruitful day for the big men, but the intent was there

Lot of pressure on Weller last week with the trade. He’s class and he’ll only get better. Pick 2 was a steal Bods...

A steal! That’s a huge call. I saw the first half before watching the Titans game (friggin epic game by the way I’m on such a high) and what I saw was fairly good I guess.
I love to eat my words, I’m rooting for him to make me look a stooge.

Ladder after the JLT. looks pretty good to me.

a bloke who was walking past me was talking to a mate and i overheard them talking about pearce's injury (they must have been up that end at the time). he was holding it for a while until the doc could come help, and in the meantime all the kids rushed to the fence and started filming. doc arrived, pulled his arm straight and it popped back in and pearce said "ooh that feels better" (sounds funny in my imagination with his accent haha).

I like Hanley, but I just don't think he and Harbrow have the best connection. Maybe it is just that without Hanley Harbs shines through or, as I suspect, Hanley gets his hand on the ball a lot and doesn't honour Harbrow's leads often enough. Defence is deep and Hanley is replaceable with the current depth, especially after today's NEAFL practice match.

Who you reckon can kick the ball long ? GC need good kicker out of defence . If not the ball will keep coming back like today . Harbrow need to stay healthy really good today with May .

Long kicking out of defence is a dry weather occupation
Not possible to read anything into today's game other than 4 quarter endeavour- it's becoming a thing *shock horror*
A forward line with Lynch 2MP and Day is potentially potent and would benefit from the long kick from wing half back
But not today
Today was a mud wrestle

Where's the cannon? (forgot that was pretty much all he could do - oh and play loose in defence by himself)

In your opinion who is good at it if the weather is good?, obviously Trent McKenzie gone to Port .

Does anyone think Rocket is watching how we are playing now and thinking to himself "I thought I was a good coach but obviously I was just delusional"

Prediction: Fiorini will be our best midfielder by the end of 2019
The kid always seems to find space.

Thought Day had a really good game, even though the stats don't show it. Had some good leads that weren't honoured and competed well...good signs.

Brodie a standout amongst the kids today. Holman's second half was great - doesn't give up.

Agree on Sam Day
Great signs that he ran out the game really well
On a heavy deck and just coming back from a close to career ending injury you can't but be impressed

Safe to say that May is the best option to go long, but I'm always happy when a smaller guy if it comes to moving the ball swiftly out of defence. Today is not at all a typical example of the Suns kicking in on an average days.
Plenty to work on and several months before Gold Coast weather plays a part again.

Just saw the supposed Lynch bump on Fox News and nooooo wayyyyy is that a suspension, gee whiz I was expecting to see him run through somebody and he barely touched the Brisbane guy, he might have got some windburn from Lynch running past him.
Turn it Up-that was nothing.

Watching it live i thought there was nothing in it , but your not sure live , im glad on screen it was the same.
