I wish Matty stuck it out in the #44, but I do admit when playing I always wanted the single digit numbers. And moving into his mentors upon his request is as good a reason to change as any.
Anyway no need to go nuclear about it. Hopefully he can raise the #5 status at the AFC to that of #23’s and #32’s. A Brownlow and a Norm Smith or 2 should do it! Preferably all 3

Decided to get a number on my guernsey for the GF.
Stupidly chose 44 because of a comment Matt made about wanting to keep 44 and make some history with it.
Could be worse, I saw a woman on Facebook claim that she bought 3 guernseys for her kids for Christmas all with 44 on them.
