Still not understanding the LOL about this trade. GCS traded pick 2 for a ready made player that wanted to move to them rather than a kid from the draft. Not sure why they are laughed at for this.
Lachie Weller is averaging 19 disposals a game, and has kicked 4 goals for the year.

He's a player in his 4th season.

As you say, he may be a "ready made player", but worth Pick 2? Would you trade Dow for him?

Even now, it's arguable Dow is the better player in his first year, than Weller now.

Dow has more goals, clearances, tackles, contested possessions.

O'Shea Mullet Kerridge Graham Shaw Rowe A.Silvagni JGM all delisted.

Amazing if we could get that line up next year. Top 8 challenge I reckon.

I watched Collins on tv for a couple of quarters two weeks back. He will slip into an AFL senior team next year similar to how Tim Kelly and Bailey Fritsch did this year. Totally ready by looks of things. But I honestly expect Collingwood, Demons or Saints will grab him before we get the chance.
A second round pick has been mentioned.
We currently have 2 of them

If we get a much later second round pick in trade period, you never know. At present though I am expecting our earlier picks including ones in the 20's to go towards building up our midfield stocks.
Hopefully but at any rate, picks traded for May would be a waste

FROM BLACK AND WHITE TO NAVY BLUE

ALEX Fasolo’s management is in discussions to send the Collingwood free agent to Carlton next season, reports Fairfax Media.

The forward has played just one game this season, partially due to injury and partially due to form, as the Magpies have transformed from also-rans into finals contenders.

The 26-year-old has previously been keen on a move back home to Western Australia but reportedly now prefers to remain in Victoria.

I'm of the opinion that if he can get his head straight he would be a valuable addition to our forward line. Was quite a good set shot before Mental Health issues interrupted his career. He is what we need should Matthew Wright's contract not be renewed.

Don't see why it wouldn't be renewed, and we have more holes down forward than we do players.

The question shouldn't be, let's find someone to take over from Wright. The question should be, who can come in and perform better opposite Wright? To this point, it hasn't been Pickett, Garlett, Polson or Graham for a wide variety of reasons. I'd be stoked to get, as was rumoured earlier this season, Mark Lecras, but failing that I'd like to get someone who's good for a goal a game or better as a small forward, and Fasolo fills that need. In addition, he's actually a pretty good kick, and a smooth mover when disposing into forward 50 when he's playing well, and that's the key for me.

Either we back ourselves to get his best footy whilst helping him off it, or he comes to us and tells us honestly that he's resolved what he needed to resolve, and has techniques for dealing with his problems to limit their impact on his footy.

If either is not the case, I withdraw my support.

I don't know how many times Fasolo has torn us apart but that is over now lol

He'd be a matty wright replacement. That tweener stopgap whose better than what we have, but doesn't fit in an elite forwardline once we're challenging.

We want superstars plus pressure players. Anything in between isn't helpful in the final product.

That is the question.

Pretty sure the answer is: meh.

Does anyone really care? Most see him as a free hit that doesn’t matter if it works or fails. Probably says all we need to know. Hope it works, won’t lose sleep if it doesn’t.
