SOS needs to effectively go all in this off season if he can. WE need 8-10 changes

Pick One on Walsh
PP on an established gun mid
Picks 25 & 29 on young mids or trade one for a Brodie
Dahlhaus and/or Lester as FA's
I hope we make a late play for Gaff
If we somehow get Pick 2 or 3 as a PP it needs to be traded for a gun mid and a top 12 pick (eg B.Crouch & 9)
Next years first round needs to be on the table for Setterfield/Shiel
I would rookie 2 of Nelson Schloithe Grigg or similar. Serious consideration on Palmer
Murphy needs to play small forward

PLUS fix the injury issues
Not too sure about all in this year soap. No rush!
If we do get a pp around 3 id still say go the draft. Look at Dow and LOB. Both looking the goods in their 1st season. Patience i say. 2 of Walsh/Smith/lukosius/rankine will be perfect!

Why wait HCJ? If we do what I suggested our list is really close. It's then just development and time. Then the next 2 years are about a "big fish" or two and a couple of draft picks.

It also allows our younger players to develop together, which IMO is vital, and they have the support of some better mature players. I see nothing but positives in doing this

I doubt AFL will give a priority pick at the start of the first round. A pick at the end of the first round does little to change the fortune of the struggling clubs.
How about, it is two end of first round priority picks.
Carlton would have pick1,19,20,21
They then have the option to turn 19&20 into pick 10 or similar.
Gives plenty of opportunity and options for draft improvement or mature player trading.
Doesn't impact other clubs as much and will still provide real value.

Who's the midfielders at around 25 years old we can get to help in 2019. I reckon we need 4-5

Dahlhaus as a FA
Miles is a hard bodied inside mid.
Brad Crouch is a gun and from Victoria. Injuries an issue
Shiel from GWS would be great
Gaff as FA would be awesome but unlikely

any others?

Nelson Schloithe Grigg Fisher as possible rookies?
I'd like Brodie Setterfield Atley and/or Cerra but they are young and need time
Lloyd would be really good but more a running defender

McKay is performing far better than i thought he would be at this stage of his career.
He genuinely worries opponents with is speed and ability to get around the ground.
It's such a hard position to impose yourself from and at such a young age, but he just seems to be getting better by the week. Can't wait until he's 21... :)

Nothing we didn't know 12 months ago - Boy, we're short on mids.
Shiel would complement us beautifully for starters, Dow will clearly get better and Petrevski-Seton simply has to get better.
It's hard to gauge just how good Kennedy may be, as there have been reasons for optimism and just as many for pessimism. Can't pick which way things will fall.

If nothing else, we know for certain that the back-line will function so much better with Docherty organising the show. We won't know it, next year.

Why do you insist you have sources when you don't? All your posting is your opinion, which you're entitled to. But what is the purpose of pretending to have some inside info? It won't give your opinion any more credit because some of the stuff you've come up with is way off what will happen in reality.
I have sources. Bigfooty and AFL media. Their nothing special but they are still sources

All of my sources have the same or more credibility than an open forum for discussion between one-eyed supporters.

The sources you listed literally included an open forum filled with one-eyed supporters and trolls. The other was the media which happens to be full of one-eyed supporter and trolls.
I said that, can't you read?

My source is news media and other bigfooty pages.
Apparently, Essendon have offered much more for Shiel, almost hard to turn down
As far as Gaff goes, North Melbourne have offered him large, and he is likely to stay at West Coast. Saints are also ahead saying they are going to be aggressive, publicly, and they have Gaff as a target

But yesterday you said .......

All of my sources have the same or more credibility than an open forum for discussion between one-eyed supporters.

Doesn't a bigfooty page have
credibility than another bigfooty page.

Need to throw the kitchen sink at Shiel he is elite and if GWS need to clear cap space we must be front of line to grab him.

Take a mid either Walsh or Smith with pick 1.

This priority pick is gonna be very interesting....

We don't need 5 thats excessive id be happy with 2. Sheil and say horlin smith.... one will cost us the other will cost us nothing and natural development will help the others because we will also get fasolo and I don't want too many spots taken away from development because sometimes things change and quickly I think dow will average 20 next year same with sps and fisher

Unless you think Brendan Bolton is lying, we won't be making 8-10 changes.

What happened to patience?

No problem with that but only if we believe one of those is the best mid and also the best player in the draft.

If by some miracle we get a priority pick before round 1, then we should go a safe option with Walsh/Smith (whichever they rate higher) and then go Rankine.

Unless our talls take a mark, we really struggle to score.

Im hoping Matthew Kennedy really steps up next year he will play a big part in our inside midfield.

We need to get more mature players on our list, ideally if we can trade for one of Dom Tyson, Dom Sheed or Brad Crouch. Then rookie list Fisher and Miles incase of injuries.

In the draft I hope we go quality over quantity. Keeping Pick 1 and trade our second rounders up for a top 12 pick. If we add Sam Walsh, Connor Rozee and Dom Tyson to add to Kreuzer, Kennedy, Docherty, Fisher in our line up with all our youngsters improving we will be a lot more competitive.

Hoping starting line up will be: (age,Games)

B Bryne (24, 21) Wietering (20,55) Plowman (24, 73)
HB Docherty (25,92) Marchbank (22,34) Simpson (34, 306)
C Tyson (25,103) Kennedy (21,31) E.Curnow (29, 142)
HF Fisher (20,34) C.Curnow (21, 46) SPS (20,41)
F De Konning (18,1) Mckay (20, 14) Wright (29, 158)
FOL Kreuzer (29,173) Cripps (23, 80) Murphy (31, 248)
INT Dow (18,20) O'Brien (18,17) Walsh (18,0) Thomas (31, 237)

Our starting team will still have 11 players under 50 games, 10 players 21 and under, and only 7 in there "prime years 24-29".

Add Willo and more consistentcy in to Byrne and the backs are all right.
Biggest concern for me are the mids.
SPS is Line ball, Murphy ain’t going to get better, in fact I’m amazed he got a 2 year deal, he needs to lift massively.
Windscreens is the surprise packet for me....gets better with every game
