News 2018 Membership Thread

Crows website states no more scarfs ....only caps now...real bummer... the scarfs look great. I've already got a crappy cap for every round of the season. I'd rather still have the option but wait for 3,4,5, 6 months....cap will rot in the cupboard or go in the bin anyway.... feels stupid wearing a cap to a night game or on a winters day.
Hopefully they Order a lot more next year!

I live in a yellow hat bay. Had yellow hats for a while now. Found out too late that you could get a scarf so I was not happy.

I only received my pack last week....it was extremely late. 2 x Blue hats....must have ran out of the yellow. Score!!!!

I'm sure we are leading the way with the free membership, everyone will be doing it once they realise it is easier to approach potential sponsors (who don't care how much that member paid) with a list of 300,000 engaged members and negotiate an extra million dollars over a few years than it is to make that same money off the little profit they get after marketing and producing 3 game membership packages.

And anyway, they probably criticise the way the AFL runs everything else all year, but come the membership audit system, trust them to be fair and right? If a $800 membership is counted the same as a $50 membership, whats wrong with $0 if you are making the most money at the end of the day? Lets tell 10,000 of our 11 game members they can't renew so that we can sell 30,000 3 game memberships at $20 profit per member or something? Can't fault the club with this one.

Well ...I think those showdowns might be a little closer this year...so fingers crossed on those.

That sounds awfully like my marraige. She was a crows supporter / Port Magpies Supporter when we met in 2000. Come 2002 she changed to Power just to annoy me. Now she supports Power and Collingwood.

What I tend to find meaningless is even bothering to compare us against anyone else. What's important in terms of membership is the dollar value and we find the result of that in our financial performance for the year. And at the end of the day, the only thing that matters is whether we're generating enough income to fully fund our football department. In terms of free memberships, the point is that is the number of people that we directly engage with. As was mentioned, we'll get more sponsorship dollars if we are sending out emails to 100,000 people than we would if we were only engaging with 20,000.

Missus and I now both have our gold and women's membership packs and I'm only keeping 1 scarfe and the 2 stubby coolers. That leaves 2 blue caps, 1 scarfe, pins, pens, stickers, shopping bags and magnets. If anyone is interested, or has some kids/grandkids that might want them. PM me and I'll mail them down to you. I'd rather spend a few bucks on postage and send them to someone who has a use for them than throw them in the bin.
