Wonder what Janus thinks?

Watts tanked on purpose so he could get to Port cheaply. So that they could recruit hi and other big name players. He'll be MUCH better this year. Ken's game plan is made for him.

Getting paid more than Schiel and Kelly?

For a harder, more reckless version of Whingegard?
Shiel, Kelly, Cognillo, Cameron, Patton... Then you would think their leaders Davis & Ward would no longer being paid big money.

Going to be interesting to watch as their more recent year draftees make the grade...

Walls was very fair. This view of him not going hard squares exactly with what I saw watching him a bit on TV.

Watts can play, moves great and has good skills for a tall. But he seems to lack the hunger to be around contests when it might just be a block, tackle or shepherd. Or even an unused option. There's no doubt that is the mindset that needs to change for him to realise his potential and last beyond this contract. He won't get another chance.

I think the poor lad is just to nice for this game.

I think it stems back to no Aboriginal representation on the AFLPA.
Then some opinions got thrown around and then it grew from there as to whether it's ok to hold some opinions.
Thanks, as I had no idea what was going on...

So do Port count all of their freebie tickets that they give away?

AFL and Stadium Management Authority again at odds over crowd figures at Adelaide Oval
THE AFL and Adelaide Oval’s Stadium Management Authority are again at odds over crowd figures. For the second time in six months Adelaide is being tagged with an attendance record the league will not recognise.

WHAT determines the crowd figure at Adelaide Oval?

The AFL and the Oval’s Stadium Management Authority are again at odds leading to two sets of crowd figures at the venue — and, for the second time in six months, the Adelaide Football Club being tagged with an attendance record the league will not recognise.

The AFL says crowd figures are to count only paying tickets that file through the gates.

The SMA, however, is counting all who are in the Oval’s boundary — including staff and free ticketholders.

The AFL adds it has spoken to the SMA asking the venue manager to fall in line with league policy. And the AFL emphasised the point on Friday night when it quickly tore down the “record” 54,158 figure posted by the SMA on the Oval video screens to report 53,141 attended the Crows-Geelong match.
Ahahaha

Ports attendance will be AAMI Stadium-esque

I do.

Yes but you’re an accountant ;)

This is fair

Anyone thinks Watts can’t play is just a very poor judge of a player

Whether he can play isn’t the question, but his confidence and in turn his physical desire can waver.

Good jack is a fine player, but other Jack’s are available

Now that I’ve checked and can’t see I’ve ever been a big supporter of Grigg, I think this says it all my little Janus apprentice [emoji14] :D
I was more thinking of what I thought of him whilst others thought he was worth a shot.

Wigg is the same. Great SANFL standard player. Not good enough to leave the footy playpen and graduate to the big leagues....

Thats fair, but I am surprised they are going early. Not even finding out how many are likely to turn up before the offer
Is Freo ever a big draw.
If I was a port supporter I’d want to be there when the team beats a genuine top 8 team. That’s when you’d know your team is actually on the up.
They know that the supporters will want to see some green shoots of growth first before they return in numbers. Last year was not convincing.
