So ports sponsor was a renewable energy company who reading between the lines now labor are out have pulled out.
Or the sponsor was almost certainly the State Government themselves

You're telling me rucci out of his own mouth said Port have done something incompetent and didn't follow it up with a jab at the AFC???So Rucci has just claimed KT and Kochie are incompetent in leaving themselves open to such a risk for such an important aspect of a sporting organisation.
I wonder if he realises what he said?
Or he has NFI?

He may not have said incompetent.
But leaving the biggest sponsorship deal open to the risk of change of government and having over 7 months to negotiate said deal, is incompetent in my book.

Elon Musk. I said it before the Election. The Port Renewable Power FCSo ports sponsor was a renewable energy company who reading between the lines now labor are out have pulled out.
Whats worse, they new Renault was pulling the plug 18 months ago and they still couldn't get a deal done.
Surely the Koolaiders might start to question the dribble they have been peddled.
Koch identified the 5112 mentality and has been working hard to shake it off. The scizhophrenia of trying to be a 5112 club and yet want national exposure is things like Power get dropped as ' not who we are ' and #weareportadelaide as a brand.Problem with Port is they don't have a national exposure. They are seen as a Local community-based Club.
Even their name, Do non-supporters hear Port or Adelaide.
They have to work hard to find sponsors and twice as hard to keep them. China was not just a Dream it's fast becoming a must work for survival.
Otherwise, they will be selling there Pub when they need to upgrade the training centre.
Why would anyone bother sponsoring port?
If we are to believe one version of the story of us getting China Southern as a sponsor, it was because they had been strongly encouraged by the State Government to sponsor one of the local clubs to boost their profile if they are wanting to expand their business within the state.
By the time it all came together Port already had a partnership with Cathay Pacific, leaving us with the "table scraps".
I wonder how much of this has gone on?
Crows and CUB extend partnership http://m.afc.com.au/news/2018-03-28/crows-and-cub-extend-partnership.mobileappWhy would anyone bother sponsoring port?
Is the Mr. Bankrupt business still around? He might want to revive his succesful advertising campaign with a sponsorship. Port would be perfect.

More appropriate for GC? Or the Kangaroos - home can be wherever you want - Hobart, Launceston, Canberra, North Melbourne, Sydney....Has to be Noel's Caravans. They can then replace Never Tear Us Apart and hold up their scarves to the jingle instead. "Noel's Caravans, Noel's Caravans... Noel's Caravans, Noel's Caravans".
Lol, I was thinking the exact same thing last night.Must have seen those ads 100s of times but never noticed the mo' before.
Janus posted this over there.
Got to laugh, it has some interesting posts!
It’s not hard to get a major sponsor when you settle for whatever you can get.
It is hard to get one when you have settled in the past and are trying to increase the price while the league has given all your FTA games to shit campaigner teams like Adelaide under the mistaken belief they’ll both be another Hawthorn or Geelong.
13 matches on FTA compared to 5. With two of those 5 matches being against a low rating team like the Bulldogs and a middling side like Melbourne who will once again do nothing.
Geelong and Richmond games are what we have to sell to sponsors wanting national exposure.
But it won’t always be like that. When we win the flag, it will be impossible for the AFL to shunt us into ridiculous time slots while a bunch of hacks from West Lakes who shat the bed get the limelight.
Which, incidentally, is why the media is gleefully running with this training camp saga. If there’s one thing that Australians love more than a fairy tale, it’s watching a bunch of arrogant power stance morons implode.
