This means they have Gold Coast & West Coast dropping out for Richmond & Geelong

Nah. That Perth crowd is insane. Barring a freak forward kicking eight, it’s hard to see the Eagles losing too many at the new stadium. They’ve already won one away. Win 2-3 more on the road and they will play finals.

They have already lost 1 at home for a 1-1 record & arguably only won today thanks to Cats only having 1 fit player on their bench. Could have easily been 0-2 at home, so not as strong at home as they were, as probably getting used to the new dimensions.

This is how dumb or PR conscious the AFL is....they’ve put that disallowed goal incident on their page and tried to spin it as the Eagles player ‘didn’t count on’ the Geelong player blocking his kick....and people have piled onto the comments and ripped the AFL.

It’s nigh on number 1 for comedic value though just behind curling.

I guess they are gambling that he only needs to be fit for a single day in September for it to be all worth it. He is still the Cats equal best player from the opening games. Don’t blame them and would have wanted us to do the same if given the chance.

I don’t need understand walking as an event. It’s like who can whisper the loudest.

The non-freestyle swimming events are similarly odd. It would be like having a 100m race for “normal” running and then 100m events for who can run backwards he fastest, who can hop the fastest and who can cartwheel the fastest.

And Black? He’s gone from competing with Ben Brown for the second tall forward spot at the Kangaroos to obscurity. Geelong seems to be the place now that tall forwards and ruckman from other teams go to fade out to nothing.
