Just found this from Hogan interview

But, he says he's come back to training with a "clear mindset" and a new outlook after being earmarked for more runs through the midfield in 2018.

"It's going to be more of a burst role if Christian Petracca goes forward, I might play in the midfield while he rests, so it will probably only be in little spurts," he said.

This would indicate to me that Hogan thinks Petracca will play most time midfield. Am I clutching at straws?

I don't get why coaches have Poholke in their teams for?

Doubt he even plays round 1.
Does it really matter at this stage haha. Rookies are placeholders until Thurs 22nd 6:25pm and Fri 23rd 5:30pm

True but surely you would start with someone like Fritsch on the ground instead of Poholke who pretty much looks like a lock for round 1??

Yeah fair enough

I think it'll be funny because we'll end up getting enough cheap DEF and FWD, but not enough cheap MID rookies, forcing us to take the high price rookies, which SUCKS

Barry, Kelly, Holman, Banfield and Garlett for my mid rooks. Armo at M6

I don't reckon Garlett makes the cut
and I have rookies starting at M6, so I'll need to take a Dow or Brayshaw type

Think I have settled with this team.

Going with a couple of risky picks in Savage and Petracca but meh who gives a damn! LOL!

$50,900 left over.

Might use it to turn Oliver into Mitchell or Dusty. Not sure......

Hey mate

Shit team! :thumbsu:

good looking team but you're going to need more cash for rookies. Mirra, Wilson and probably Payne wont start.
is Wilson there for loophole purposes?
Yes Wilson is there for loophole if Cameron plays.
Crossing fingers for other rookies otherwise will have to downgrade a premo to get some more of the expensive rookies in

Have changed my team completely bar a few that I’ve had locked from the beginning. I’m quite happy with it and apart from rookie changes this will be close to my team come round 1.

Only players I’m iffy on are Cogs, Lycett and Barlow. Thoughts my SC brethren?

Got this at the moment, no doubt it will change. Tried to minimise shit rookies on the field, and now happy to go thin on mid premos. Want Nank to be Kreuzer but I can't quite swing it. 35k left.

Good balanced side .....just IMO with the scarcity of Rookies DEF & FWD .......think it can be an advantage to have DEF DPP to be able to swing Sicily back if need be

Shaw ...well he's on most Coaches "Never Ever Again" list ......but hey @ 32 yo, i'm sure he can turn it around :p

Yeah good balanced side .....like most of us, we'll make Rookie calls, when we see R1 teams

Individual players are personal preferences, we don't want group think & allteams the same .....but structure is good, Byes OK ???

Nailed it .......Cogs, Lycett and Barlow will depend on JLT 2 .....and with each selection, the compromise you have to make in other zones

:thumbsu: Poholke won't be playing R1 .....Fritsch will

I think not having Shaw last year has made it easier for me to pick him... :drunk::)

Which fwd/def dpp would you suggest to pair with Sicily? I can't think of any good options.
