No but I'll have 3 premo mids still, basically full forwards and backs. No point avoiding the byes, so much can happen in 14 rounds. Pick the best team to play the first 3 rounds then reassess if changes are needed

After much deliberation with the match comittee ive come up with these bunch of buffoons, quite happy with it atm apart from the fact i couldnt fit L.Mcdonald in down back but thinking of getting him in for Hurley/Hibberd and free up cash and also i really want Mclean in the fwd line somewhere but i definitley want Heeney,Billings and Barlow so punchable is the only one that could could go for Mclean.

Plenty of room for change with all those expensive rookies so put them on the watch list with Lloyd and the Devonator and then decide.
Yeah, his KO screwed with him IMHO, not only the bloody 4 that he got for the game but also not quite there for a few weeks after.
My thoughts on defence:
- With Doc out I think that Laird is the only auto premo pick. You could throw a blanket over the rest with roughly the same return so I went for the cheaper ones.
- If Mills gets more time in the middle that will be a bonus.
- Shaw will never grace my side again.
- Witherden, McGrath as good as they have been are in 2nd year blues this year. They may be better like the ginger pig from melbourne, but he is the exception not the rule.
- Lever is overrated.

Pretty much happy to start with something along these lines. Barry, Mihochek and Mirra the main question marks. Been seeing a lot of teams putting T. Kelly (GEEL) in. Brayshaw my other question mark in whether he'll be worth it in the DEF. 99k leftover.

If Smith plays mid, then after seeing the JLT I’d go him ..... often recruits start off with a bang at a new club
2nd attempt. 68k remaining.
Went with 2 Premo forwards instead of 3, along with 2 Premo rookies, which allowed me to afford another Premo Mid (Zorko) in.
Rookies will swap around of course. Hurry up JLT.
Jack Graham is an option to downgrade to a rookie, to give me a bit more cash, but I have high hopes for him so i'm sticking with him for now.

Same with mid-pricers. Kind of hard to settle on a specific combination until you've seen some form. "He's working with the mids" and "ran a good time trial" are sentiments that only goes so far at the moment (and at this time of the year, who isn't working with the mids?).
