If i see 1 more team with Lachie Keefe i will puke. Seriously this guy has no hope of being a regular in the GWS side this year. Might play a few games and score 30-40 but thats all you can hope for. Our old mate Relton will have a better average than Keefe by the end of the season

Dont say that, he's an integral part of my team and his def/fwd swing works so well with Sicily

Seeing a lot of Savage love ATM...
What's different about him this year that stopped us from picking him last year.

He is one of the biggest SC teasers ever.
..he can play, consistency being the issue.
What have I missed...
Is it just a need for POD or a lack of good premos in DEF?
Looked good in JLT but has in my the past, and then fallen short on output once the real stuff starts.
What do people expect out of him?
80-90?
This !!! ......

Use Nathan Murphy .....he can double up being a loophole also back & forward

View attachment 469419Hey guys,

Please give me your feedback, only got $9k left over..

Much appreciated
Hard to criticize, when it's so close to mine ;) ......but i can't support Bundy ! ....i tried to put Callum Brown in, took him out when i came to my senses .....$250K for maybe a 70 with little or slow burn cash generation

Thought about spending the Bundy $$$$ on upgrading Cogs or O'Meara ?

Still a few decisions to be made but so far I think I've locked.
Laird
Dusty
Cripps
Fyfe
Kelly
Gawn
Heeney
Billings
Sicily.

Doubt ill be changing those. Could swing Sicily Forward and have another Rookie def instead as they seem better than the fwd rooks.

Is Cole a better option than Venebles?
Is Dawson a better option than Lycett? Will Dawson be GWS number 1 ruck? With Lobb backing up?
Petrecca or Walters?

These are some questions I would love some help with please? Screenshot_20180313-233435.jpg

Thanx mate, but I’m sure I’ll be chop & changing til 7:24pm next Thursday Downgrading Sandilands (to Lycett) or JOM to a rookie would allow me to improve Brayshaw to a Witherden in defence...?

I'd keep Brayshaw and maybe look at turning one of your other back rookies into a premo.

Brayshaw is the perfect D4 I reckon.

I'd look at making a downgrade or 2 to get some cash so you can upgrade Lycett to a proper ruck.

I just don't think there is a clear cut r2. The plan is to upgrade to Ryder post bye. I don't feel comfortable picking any of the rucks atm. None are safe IMO

Nank or Sandi I reckon.

They should both score well till at least when Ryder comes off his bye.

That way if Sandi is injured by then or if Nank has run out of petrol it wll be a great swap that wont cost you much coin.

Cole probably has better JS, but cheaper is better for cash generation. You would hope not to have them on field.
Lobb would be preferred ruck for GWS. Much better around the ground. Lycett is not much chop against Sandi.
Re. Petracca/ Walters: we'll both know by the end of round 23.

Gone with a few mid-price MIDs heading into 2018 in the form of Coniglio, Cripps and Libba. But the catch is they all have favourable scoring histories; of which i'm confident they can all get back to and push 100+.

I still don't trust O'Meara and his knee, but moreso I think his style of play has changed dramatically off the back of his injuries, which has seen him opting to handball twice as much compared to before he had the knee issues. This equals lower scores and a very limited ceiling. Whilst I have no doubt he will make $$, i'm confident Libba will do just the same whilst producing more consistent high scores with a much higher ceiling, so am happy to pay $100k more for that security.

I've made the painful decision to remove Danger from my team as the issues surrounding his back problems and now his hammy (which can easily be directly related, mind you) scream long-term as opposed to it being a niggle he can get over quickly, as I reckon it is something that will rear it's head during the season once again. Just a hunch, but I hope i'm wrong as i'd love to get him back in. If he does make a full recovery, i'm banking on him being managed coming back and scoring just enough to lose some value and hopefully by that stage I can cull a cashcow or two and upgrade mid-pricer for him.

Still unsure as to who steps up as R2. I had Lycett there initially, but apart from his terrible scoring ability, I wouldn't be surprised and am more worried that the Eagles may drop him in the early rounds off the back of one or two poor showings, and play McInnes instead. If that were to happen i'd be up Ship Creek without a paddle. I love Sandi, who I think is slightly underpriced for what he can produce, but still undecided how his body can hold up. The other option is my 2017 mid-price king in Nank, who appeals as he should play solo ruck once again this season - at the very least in the early part of the year.

The FWDs are mid-price madness yet again - but with sound reason. There are virtually no rookies capable of holding spots in the early rounds apart from Fritsch and Ryan, so need to spread the cash over the FWDs to ensure I have reliable scorers in the first four spots. The first three in McLean, Smith and Petracca are all going to be given ample time in their respective midfields this year, and they have shown they are all more than capable of producing consistently decent scores on a weekly basis. Sicily is one player I cannot stand, but can't ignore his scoring ability playing off half-back for the Hawks. You can almost pencil in him missing a week through suspension, so having Keeffe with the DP DEF/FWD swing helps in that situation.

The DEFs are pretty stock standard, with Savage the one player I think can step up and lift his average. Rolling with only 3 reliable defenders, with the next 5 spots filled by the plethora of defensive rookie options on offer who will hopefully help generate some cash.

Figure Cameron is probably going to play more games than Keeffe and make more $$ at the same price, so downgraded Keeffe to a rolling donut in Mihocek, who I think could be some chance of games later on off the back of Goldy's injury. Tossing between him and Murphy from the Crows, so will wait and see upon round one selections.

Also changed Sandi to Nank, as I just can't trust Lurch's body (even though I think he'll outscore Nank in the short term). But I also think Nank can improve on last year's effort of shouldering the #1 ruck role for the first time in his career.

Am also chopping and changing between Bont and Selwood; the latter of whom could take a greater share of the points in Danger's absence. Still 50/50 right up until the first bounce.

Apart from those minor dilemmas i'm all but set! :moustache:

By God he's done it .......mind you there were dark times, dark looking teams .....but there was light at the end of the tunnel ....and now there's cause for celebration !

If you want a rolling donut they should be in a poor cash generation position such as the ruck bench. No point in wasting a fwd/mid /def this early when rookies are ripe.

That said if you think Cameron will punch out more than 35-40 pw and make you 80K by round 20 then go for it.

At a minimum if you do run with a non-playing rookie they should have some value. They should be DP and linked to a player you can flick for cover (ie Sicily), and should regularly play late in the weekend to support the captain loophole.

For the sake of one trade haven't you considered starting either Selwood or Duncan on field plus keeping the cash difference on hand to trade up to Danger. Would give you extra points to get you in a higher division next year.

Im waiting on danger. I will most likely swap him and hold the left over cash if he is out
