Noticed Rozee had all of his possessions before half time. Did he finish the game?

If you can get footage of against Port last week, no composure under pressure resulting in turn overs. Disposal efficiency at half time was 52%.

On iPhone using BigFooty.com mobile app

Watch his second half that game, can understand a kid would be pressured early in a game like that. His handballing, cleaness and two way running was a level above and made Tomp/Trengrove look second rate. He missed 3 kicks in the first Q and only one resulted in a turnover, other two resulted in a stoppage, to say he has no composure is a poor statement, his other 4 kicks hit the target or to advantage. 1Q of poor composure against AFL listed players in a 2nd league game. His 3 games at league have been beyond expectation and has arguably played better than Hatley and McLennan, being in the best players in each game. Throw me a bone champ.
This week v Eagles he kicked at 75% and overall d.eff off 80%. 23 D.

What is with all the marking stats? Seem high even with lower possession counts? Is the SANFL more a slow tempo switching league?

It's interesting as the SANFL is a more contested ball and physical league when compared to the more free flowing WAFL. VFL a blend of both... Lower levels all depends on how those respective sides play but usually marks are on the lower end of the spectrum.

Lots of guys played finals on the weekend...

Jack Lukosius - 18 touches, 7 marks, 4 inside 50s
Shane McAdam - 11 touches, 5 marks, 2 goals
Nathan Kreuger - 9 touches, 5 marks, 1 goal
Callum Wilkie - 19 touches, 8 marks, 6 rebound 50s
Connor Rozee - 15 touches, 5 marks, 4 tackles
Boyd Woodcock - 9 touches, 5 tackles

Tobin Cox - 22 touches, 7 marks, 7 clearances, 1 goal
Declan Carmody - 12 touches, 8 marks, 7 tackles
Oscar Chapman - 9 touches, 6 marks
Jackson Hately - 27 touches, 5 marks, 7 tackles, 8 clearances, 2 goals
Aaron Nietschke - 22 touches, 6 marks, 4 tackles, 1 goal
Jez McLennan - 18 touches, 7 marks, 2 rebound 50s

Kai Pudney - 25 touches, 4 tackles, 6 clearances
Martin Frederick - 9 touches, 3 marks
Tom Sparrow - 27 touches, 10 tackles, 7 clearances, 3 inside 50s
Tate Coleman - 22 touches, 5 marks, 6 tackles, 4 inside 50s, 5 rebound 50s, 1 goal
Hayden Sampson - 15 touches, 5 tackles, 7 clearances
Jake Tarca - 13 touches, 3 goals
Job Colwell - 10 touches, 5 marks, 5 tackles
Jacob Kennerley - 38 touches, 14 marks, 7 clearances, 8 inside 50s, 1 goal
Isaac Saywell - 25 touches, 7 marks
Jacob Collins - 19 touches, 5 marks, 4 tackles, 6 rebound 50s
Ben Jarvis - 13 touches, 7 marks, 1 goal

The one guy I'll give mention to is Tom Sparrow. There's growing talk about him being one of the bigger draft bolters this year. Hasn't played a lot for South Adelaide between school commitments and the Championships, but he's a step above when he does play. And was BOG in the first final. I think he's in that 20-30 window at the moment, with potential to hit the first round. He ticks a lot of boxes, and if he were playing the TAC Cup then I'm sure Victorian draft watchers wouldn't shut up about him.

Yeah I have been a big g for Sparrow. Strong unit.

I picked him up in the phantom draft earlier this year and what I liked at the time was the fact he looked solid as a defender.
Then doing more research into his pre championships, he showed a heap of potential in the midfield. I was concerned he may be a low output player that has a quick impact and goes missing for large parts of the game.

Showing an ability to find the ball is certainly going to do his draft stocks a world of good. The kind of player that if selected in the 10-20 range would not be a crazy option.

That was the main issue I had with Sparrow earlier in the year. There was no doubting his ability, but he flashed in and out of games. His work in the contest was good, however overall impact wasn't what it could have been. But his game has become more complete as the year has gone on. Shown enough to suggest he could be a more versatile option than first thought at the next level too, I'm intrigued about him off half forward. Not the same marking threat, but could be a strong bodied type like Josh Caddy.

Chris25 with Brissy possibly getting Neale for pick 4

Who would you have Freo picking at 4 and 5. Which most likely is 5 and 6?

A few South Aus players like Rankine could be available.
For me, Rankine (5), Rozee (6) and Hill (22) would pimp our forward line nicely, with Taberner, Cox and Dixon catching the thing.

Smith and Hately great alternatives.

Highly unlikely Hill slides to pick 22 (which in reality will land somewhere between pick 25 and 28 before the draft starts, and get pushed back further once academy and father son bids come in to play on draft night). Hill commonly regarded in the top dozen kids in this years draft.

I imagine you'd be looking at the South Australians in Rankine, Rozee and Hately. Plus the King twins and Smith depending on who goes ahead of us. Couldn't really go wrong with any of those, just depends on the balance. Connor Rozee would be a good fit for us though. I'd look at a skilled guy like Rozee or Rankine, and pair them with a ball winner in Smith or Hately.

Otherwise, I do like some of the players who look like fitting into that 10-25 range. If we get two early picks, perhaps we'd look at downgrading one to strengthen our remaining draft hand. The two WA boys in Ian Hill and Jordan Clark fit in there, potentially could get both by trading an early pick. The likes of Curtis Taylor and Jye Caldwell fit what we're looking for. So too some of the inside mids in Liam Stocker, Luke Valente and Tom Sparrow. Josh Corbett is a mature aged forward that would fit in well too, but again we'd need a second rounder to get him. Basically Mitch McGovern, just wouldn't be overpriced.

yes there would still need to be some trading to snare Hill.

Hill at 25-30 sounds about right to me....Small mids need to be upper echelon to go higher than that, like Rankine for example....I'd even have Cameron & Andrews in before Hill on that count.....Other small like Jones & West will also likely go before him, in my estimation.

Agree 100%. I'd go as far as saying virtually impossible almost.

I like it, different from others. What makes you have Max King, Rhylee West, and Xavier O'Halloran lower than others?

No good reasons really.

Xavier O'Halloran is one I didn't realise ended up that low down. I started with him higher up in the 20s, but I guess he kept dropping as I liked others more. It was largely outside running types and a few talls that seemed to push him down. I think he'd be a fine pick up in the second round.

I didn't think Rhylee West was much lower than others, he's one of the better inside players but perhaps a bit limited in my mind. Someone like Tom Sparrow has power and burst that West doesn't, Luke Valente has size and added versatility. Jordan Clark is a very underrated prospect for mine. It's not a slight on West, I just couldn't justify having him ahead of other players.

And Max King actually moved up in my rankings since last time. He'll be picked earlier than I have him I'm sure, perhaps its a case of being out of sight out of mind. Maybe I'm gun shy after some of the recent tall forwards in the draft. But I've always had a preference towards full forwards being in that 194-196cm range. People always talk about the game changing and KPPs needing to be 200cm now, but I'm yet to see that.

Quite right. It is a massive task for someone of that size to transfer performances to the top level where their size is far less of an advantage. But very excited to watch the Kings develop their careers wherever they end up.

No Khamis or Andrews....2 of the stand-out performers of the Under 18 champs.

Would love all 17 other clubs to agree with you there.

Not in my top 50 and there are other players who I'd consider more unlucky.

I don't mind Khamis as a medium sized defender. Would like to see more offensively, and I don't think his game has progressed much as the season has gone on. Would probably have him in the next 10 or so. Calling Andrews a standout is a bit of a stretch I'd have thought. Maybe I've only seen his bad games, runs hard with good speed but doesn't seem to do a lot with it for me.

i was disappointed with how they both played in the final last weekend for the Jets, for me i think they both have dropped 10 spots in my rankings, we'll see how they play for Western Jets this weekend and if they can show a bit more or will they continue to slide a bit?

P.S. i wish there was a W.A. poster who could show a bit of W.A. bias so we could get more detailed info from that state
