I’ve seen the list of 25 who have been invited by AFL Victoria (ie. from the TAC Cup) to play in the Futures (u17/bottom age) curtainraiser on AFL grand final day.

There’s plenty of names you’ve missed here. Seven from one TAC program in fact ;)

Not as far as I aware. It would be outrageous for one program to have 8 top age members of an Academy (be it state based of otherwise), when several others have zero or 1.

Hang on, how many again? Don't think you've specified enough the number ;)

Bergman, Ralphsmith, Maginness, Mahony, McAsey, Chirgwin, Watts, Byrnes. How close did I get HedgeFund ? (without knowing injuries of course)
Worell or Dean id expect to see before Byrnes, gotta show of all them talls :p

I could have named a few more, but figured they'd share the spine around. I like Byrnes, doesn't mind going in.

Have the two squads for the future game been announced or are they waiting on finals to finish
Players have been notified, but squads not yet published. Finals will have little impact as far as I’m aware.

From qld Crossley , Joyce and Gore unlucky, the first two were qld most consistent players in the future series along with Will Martyn and the latter qld leading goal kicker in the series

The big fella Samson Ryan is stiff, impressed me against Country’s 17s. I thought he looked better than Nyoun

Byrnes and Watts very stiff. Been our best bottom agers throughout the year. Still, wanting 10 Dragons to be invited play (out of a total of 50 across the country) is perhaps a bit greedy.

Louis Butler goes alright aswell, Sandy and Oakleigh look set for a huge year next year

20/25 are in the futures game, im surprised Mellis isnt in the game, the other 4 are more speculative and to look out for, the initial 17, all 17 made it into the game, Will Chandler i nearly had on this list, but i wasnt sure on him, Darcy Cassar and Gardner i didnt think they were that good and they got into the game, next week i'll keep an eye out for:
Ralph-Smith, McAsey, Bell, Chirgwin, Worrell, Dean and Courtney (Sand)
Nyuon (Dand)
Bianco (Oak)
Smith (Gipps)

Josh D'Intinosante is a solid player
Cassius White is a speculation pick, but he has all the tools to be a dangerous small forward or a winger/flanker
Spencer Johnson is a good 3rd tall defender
Ben Hickleton is an aggressive tall forw
Mitch Mellis is an industrious midfielder who will make Eastern better next year (really unlucky not to make the game)

Murray being top-age and all might have something to do with it ;)

I can’t be stuffed but it was the thought that counted :p it would be hard to do anyway, you would have had to have watched a fair bit of the under 16 championships to get a gauge on some of the interstate players that didn’t get to play in the champs this year such as Finlay and Cox. Most players are played out of position for these games anyway since it’s mostly an exhibition. Both Max King and Lukosius got some time down back in this game last year and Rankine swapped teams half way to make the game closer :p
