I was only keen to sell the farm for both Crouch's. Adding Brad and Greenwood is not enough imo. Focusing on winning trades is what Carlton do. And look at how that has worked for them. They are a joke and have been for 20 years. We are headed down that path unless things change. As I already said weve been given a great draft advantage that we should use this year. If opportunity presents you get the deal done. Everyone thought Brisbane paid huge overs for Charlie Cameron at the time. Now in hindsight it's serious unders.

You are clearly a Crows supporter.

I can tell you that I'm not. You think that just because I think getting deals done is good business. Or is it foreign to have knowledge of the game in Queensland. We need to add some A grade midfielders. That much is obvious. I even posed several times questioning who else is gettable. Crows players are low hanging fruit at the moment.

Low hanging fruit yet you want to trade for him as if he is worth his weight in truffles (I don't think truffles are a fruit but I hear they are expensive).

Two A grade midfielders both contracted. Regardless of which club they are coming from, you're paying significant overs to extract them. And something I think we absolutely should be doing this year.

Western Bulldogs president saying that the AFL should be forcing us in to doing what I am suggesting we do. Maybe there is some merit to it after all. We need to add genuine, experienced AFL quality players, and in reality quality mids.

Brad Crouch is a pipe dream... crows won’t budge and hopefully we don’t fold.
If he wants a million a year and we are prepared to offer that sort of money, surely there are a number of other players we can target and get them to our club this off-season. I think it is imperative we do so. It would add so much to the club and the belief of the younger brigade.

For F*** sake we get it mate you love the Crouch brothers.

I think most of us agree we would like one of them and the club has confirmed it but not at his current asking price and not for what the crows want in return

Where in that article or my post did I mention the Crouch brothers ?? Dead set, there are 16 other clubs we can go hunting for A grade mids.

If we give up pick 1 or 2 for either of the crouches I’m gonna be done with the Suns. Brad is a pretty good inside mid who isn’t great by foot and is often injured. Matt is a slow inside mid who wins a lot of ball and doesn’t do much with it. If we offer any more then 2 mid first rounders for either of them I’m flat out done. Rowell and Anderson to me are much more valuable

Pick 1 and 2 are already spent. You can relax. They won't be used to trade in any Hawks or Crows players.

I think the a grade talent will come the following year. Similar to Brisbane, once we string some games together, the a graders come next.

Exactly why I wouldn't worry about Crouch this year. Getting Ellis and Greenwood, two mids, plus there may be some others they are interested in other than crouch. Think that's enough for this year, and then have improvement and can get better players this time next year.

Which A graders did Brisbane add. They had Beams there the whole time alongside Zorko, Beams finished second in their BnF then decided to depart, so they went and got Neale. Greenwood is a slow inside mid that can spend some time forward and Ellis is a bog average winger/back flanker. They won't be winning us any extra games next year.

if the crouch bros are acquirable, don't forget we have the 15th pick and 20th pick as well, not to mention future picks. pick 1 & 2 don't necessarily have to be involved in that trade, or any trade. that sounds like what the whole point of the compo was, as stated by some ITKs earlier, pick 1 was to get two young guns that are mates to help retention, the additional picks are to throw at mature players in trades.

Exactly. Plus we should be able to net a first round pick for Jack Martin. We should on trade that as well if possible, especially if it's a future first.

may as well be.... because nothing its going to happen this year. His manager said it... Matty Lloyd said it and he is pretty close to the family and likes to take pot shots at the suns when ever he can.. St Kilda couldn't event entertain an offer this season that would interest the suns.. what's stopping the suns from entertaining an offer that might interest the suns to get Max King up here?
Pick 1&2 gets it done id say
