Draft 1 -

Laird is set and forget, Whitfield seems to be on the increase based on the back end of this season and Blakely looks solid as a breakout candidate with Neale leaving.

Titch, Fyfe, Dusty can't go wrong there with Fyfe/Dusty both being underpriced this year. Titch is a lock, just look at his 2017/2018 numbers. Don't kid yourselves.

The 3 gambles I like are all in the midfield. Crouch, Hanners, Libba could all unleash and average 90-100 over the first 10 rounds and set my season up. If they don't, I'm prepared to trade aggressively to correct. (1 up, 1 down to bolting rookie + premo)

Not even going to bother trying to convince myself that "Preuss is coming" or "it's expensive" to start Gawndy. Seem to pay for what you get with these two, and after starting Martin last year (who had a good year!) he was still at least 22 points per game behind these two beasts!

Danger in 101% of teams, but Menegola is one I tip to be top 3 forwards especially if GAJ spends time forward and Selwood continues to slow down. Smith, Heeney are pretty obvious picks as well given no injury setbacks.

Of course i let my HS subscription expire when my credit card expired..

Thought i would be able to purchase SC Gold and get the team picker as i had Gold last season.

THat's a big fat no, **** my life.

** Update **

Subscribed back with HS and got Team Picker.
Will cancel when Supercoach Gold is available and just get that.

How did Bennell lose forward eligibility without playing a game and played forward for Peel?
So, he's a mid only this year ? .....with a 3 man mid bench, may still be worth a risk, dending on his JLT

Stray thoughts lads

- Is Hannebery going to be absolutely pathetic again?

- See a few people with Mumford, isn't that campaigner suspended for the first few games? Thought the club barred him after the drugs.

- Also, who won the flag in 2018?

- For 329K he's worth the risk

- Mumford is just there for structure i think for most people, Preuss might be the go for R2 if he and Gawn work well together.

- Shhhhhh... but seriously, just too even across the board, if Yeo was in defence he would be a lock. Kennedy is priced well.. but question marks over durability now and Toby Greene priced 40K less.. Although i am looking at Jack Redden, averaged 108.5 over his last 20 games.

Anyone game enough to chuck Jack Billings in their team?

Surely improves!??! Averaged 93.4 last 10 games after his gash start to the season.

NOT a ******* chance!!! My rear end still bears the scars from starting with him last season even though I got rid of him after about round 5.

The thought crossed my mind when I scrolled past his name.

I then proceeded to vomit uncontrollably.

Version #1: $50k left over.

Even though it's my first team, I really like it, and it might even be very similar to my Round 1 team if things go my way.

Defence, Midfield, Grundy and Dangerfield are basically locked except for Rookies or if injuries pop up.

The main struggle I've got (and lots of others it seems) is who to have as R2/R3 and Forwards.
With this team above, if all goes to plan (hypothetically):
- Zac Clarke plays Round 1, plays/scores okay and stays in the team until at least Round 6, hopefully gets up to around $270k.
- Shane Mumford comes back in Round 4 from suspension and scores well, price set to change at Round 6.
- Round 6, trade Clarke ($270k) to Mumford ($320k), swap Westhoff with Schlensog using DPP.
- Mumford at R2, Greene now my F4.
- Eventually get Mumford to Gawn unless Mumford performs really well or Gawn has Preuss issues.

It probably won't go to plan because the SuperCoach Gods are arseholes but here's hoping.

Is Tom Bellchambers injured? Because if he's not I can't see Clarke getting games since Essendon only play 1 ruck and Clarke is not a forward/ruck. This year Leuenberger played 2 games which were the 2 games that TBC didn't play, I'm assuming he missed through injury/suspension. McKernan to provide the ruck relief.
