Adam Pattison was still on a list after we were done with him.

IMO someone would put him on a list. Whether he went for nothing or we got a pick in the 50's or somewhere in between depends on the madmen running the clubs.

Ballsy move by the club..looking at his highlights and how highly bombers rate him plus his age..we have offered him a contract that he may not refuse.. opportunity to be no.1 ruck and job security in ACL year with Marshall doing fwd ruck..I know what I'll be doing..only thing I am not looking forward is club dealing with dodo again

I don't mind the idea of getting a project ruckman but that contract sounds rather excessive.

And the trade price Essendon would place on his head scares me. I guess one thing we'd have in our favour would be in the threat of the PSD with a contract like that, but that has not eventuate in years.

Excessive maybe but in the scheme of how much we are paying Longer, Pierce and Rowe combined its not horrendous.

Worst case scenario is that it will put the cat among the pigeons at Bomberland and they have to pay overs to keep him. I don't mind that at all!!!!!

I doubt we are paying Longer, Pierce and Rowe a lot. And once those guys are delisted, we need to replace them with others on our list. They'll likely all be gone whether we get him or not.

It's a good point actually... everyone is wanting a VFL ruckman as back up and bagging Billy out as a dud.

The only issue with that is that Billy has destroyed every VFL listed ruckman over the past 2 seasons. He is the best 'state league' ruckman available.

We better look interstate!

They've all got the ability to be important parts of a St Kilda finals side IMO.

Just need a few quality pieces of the puzzle in the middle and a decent coach.
