Agree 28 next year. I would rather get someone in the 23 to max 25 year range. Silly decision. I would go rory laird. Better fit age wise and a direct replacement for hodgey.

Dodongo would have thought the club has already enquired about Laird and other players.

It doesn't matter what the club wants if the player doesn't want to come. If Laird isn't coming you can bet your balls the club asked and he said no.

Dodongo thinks thats the same for other players. Dodongo has read negative shit about how people think Ah Chee would be depth. You can bet your bottom dollar the club would have a role and knows how he wIll fit in otherwise they wouldn't have a 4 year contract on the table.

Dodongo thinks people can wish for a player like Williams for example but saying the club is making silly decisions on lesser players is pretty bad.

End of the day we can't have an elite player every year. The club knows exactly what they are doing and they will have enquired about everyone that they think fills the need. They would have done their due dilligence.

For all we know they may have enquired about Williams and he said no and maybe other players that fit a need.

But the club knows the players who want to move from other clubs and know Laird is one of them so would have asked the question.

No one knows what happens behind closed doors but people everywhere think the club should have gone after x player and y player but most likely they have and rejected us. Just because it hasn't been reported doesn't mean it hasn't happened

I agree but I went to visit the Adelaide board and they seem keen to hold onto Smith as he is a much better player in their opinion.
