It was cheap sarcasm, been on the injury table for way to long, at his size I’d be way to scared to go there unless it was cheap as chips

Yeah l know and l agree. Very low pick or a FA. 2 knee recos in a ruckman doesn't look great, however when he is playing he transforms the Eagles into a much, much better side. Even not as good as be4, would still be better than Mcartin/Big O

Jye Caldwell?, we rated him very highly apparently.
Pretty sure Caldwell is the one kid they’d want to keep. I’m not sure if it’s inside midfield depth or injuries that has kept Caldwell feomplaying this year.

There’s been a fair amount of speculation that Aiden Bonar will leave at the end of the season.

My gut reaction is if they were going to lose one of their 2018 draftees, it’d more likely be Jackson Hately back to SA.

They have a big bodied contested mid in their academy this year, who is talked about as being a possible top 10 draft prospect.

Caldwell was mentioned earlier but l was reading this from GWS website.

An exciting midfielder, Jye Caldwell joined the GIANTS from the Bendigo Pioneers with the club’s first pick (11th overall) in the 2018 NAB AFL Draft. Powerful, explosive and damaging, Caldwell is an excitement machine around stoppages. He represented Victoria Country at the 2018 NAB Under-18 National Championships and was also a talented junior basketballer, cricketer and boxer, claiming a junior Victorian boxing title.

A gifted midfielder with quality foot skills on both sides of his body, Caldwell looks a star of the future. He had some injury issues last year, but it wasn’t enough to scare away the GIANTS, who took him with their first pick at the 2018 NAB AFL Draft. Caldwell is a strong-bodied on-baller who can explode away from clearance situations, but also has the vision to use his hands to win the ball and distribute it to teammates at stoppages.

Hasn't played a senior game, would presumably be stuck behind heaps of players. Maybe we could entice him with senior opportunities and a slightly higher pay package?

GWS wouldn't want our 1st pick (Collingwoods l think it is) or maybe Collingwoods + GC round 2 pick (~pick20)?

Edit: beaten by jason pm

I would do that.....

Just curious out of the out of contract mids CEY, Parish, and Sier who would we prefer ???

Personally I would love somehow to nab Caldwell, cant see it happening though.

Josh Dunkley would be the perfect fit as a big bodied, costed ball winning mid. Been racking up huge numbers lately. Could we pry him out of Melbourne though?[/QUO

In his draft year didn't he pretty much say NO to Swans cause he wanted to stay in Melb ??

Parish > Sier > CEY, although I would take Jye Caldwell over CEY and probably Sier, Parish v Caldwell Mmmm! don't know.

Reckon we have another trick to pull in trade week.

Probs only one more though. We need that cap space so we can pay ALL of our young kids. Andrews Hipwood Cluggers will all want that All Australian money soon enough.

+ We'll need to offer Cam Rayner a 5 year 1.2 million per year contract extension before the end of this season.

Off this years numbers that would equate to around $6000/possession, Good value deal I reckon!😉

I think Caldwell has been injured most of the year. Only played a couple of Neafl games

What about all 4 :)
I say Sier if he pushed out of the pies team might be someone looking for a change.
