SEN today were talking about Stephen Coniglio maybe looking to go to a Melbourne club, wouldn't it be a delicious turn up if we trumped the Melbourne clubs and managed to snag Coniglio this off season.

Would he be a bigger get than Lachie Neale was?

I hope he stays at GWS.

I know he was linked to us last year but then it is was shut down, however, I'm hoping there was potentially something to this, Bradley Hill would be a fantastic get as a winger. I'm hoping the connection with Fagan and Hodge can aid in us potentially luring him. Stephen Hill is a FA too. Maybe approach the Hill brothers with a move.

DOCKER IN DEMAND

An array of key Fremantle players, including gun wing Stephen Hill, remain out of contract beyond this season — and several clubs are chasing Hill hard, reports Jon Ralph.

Hill returned to senior AFL action last week after being hampered by soft tissue injuries for the previous year.

However the smooth-moving Docker is eligible for unrestricted free agency come season’s end. How he performs in the coming months could determine a possible Freo deal.

But speaking on Fox Sports News’ AFL Tonight, Ralph said the Suns were one of a “heap of clubs” eyeing Hill as Gold Coast seeks more outside ball users.

The Herald Sun reporter also discussed the future of Bradley Hill, who’s contracted to Fremantle until the end of 2021.

“The plot thickens at Fremantle. They’ve got a host of players who still aren’t keen to re-sign, even though the form is rampaging,” Ralph told AFL Tonight.

“The Hill boys are fascinating. I think Brad Hill last year had a really good look at Hawthorn and going back there. I’m not sure whether he spoke to his manager about it, but certainly Hawthorn were keen to have him at some stage. It’s likely he’s going to honour his contract now.

“Stephen Hill is being chased hard by a heap of clubs, like Gold Coast.”

Stephen has had a fair few soft tissue injuries which would be a concern

Brad Hill would be an absolutely stunning get for us.

Brad hill is the exact type of player we need! Perfect age and would fill a massive gapping whole in our list!!

need run through the centre of the ground and a consistent tall forward
mcstay hipwood and resting ruck just doesn't work - just not threatening enough nor do they really provide much up ground when they need to be all three prefer to be inside f50 with rayner an CC - at least mccarthy tries to provide options upfield
or maybe it's just the coaching directions to sit inside 50 for large portions of the game

McStay should stick close to home in my opinion. Let Hipwood roam and Big O float around, who I feel has been heavily missed of late.

Too old and he usually only plays well as the one out ruckman, doesn't like to share.
Yeah, he can go back to the Bombers!

Looking pretty spot on now that Brad Hill is interested in a trade back to the Hawks-

https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/af...n/news-story/8d770699c773956c39707b9520d8a949

I'm sure we'll make an inquiry with his manager, we have a previous connection in Chris Fagan and also here's hoping that Lachie Neale was close to Brad and can have a chat to him re the advantages of playing and living in Brisbane.

If it got him over the line I'd be for offering his brother a 2 year deal, would only cost list and salary cap space as he's an Unrestricted Free Agent, offer Brad 4-5 years.

Yep there was smoke around B.Hill to us last year. We need Fagan, Hodge and Neale to sell him on the prospect. Like you said, offer Stephen a deal as well.

Would make sense returning to Hawks at 25 he fills their need for young leaders...Talk of Hawks chasing Coniglio and Patton.
